Brighton C 2 Mid Sussex B 5
Gary Mehan 2020 - 4720 Chris Kirkham Chris played his usual steady game to grab a good win against Gary who didn't really get going.... 0-1 :)
Micky Pope 7250 - 6370 Trevor Rees Trevor off to a solid 2k+ start, Micky immediately replied with a well constructed 5k break, Trevor got the balls back and scored another 3k. Micky got 2k more and Trevor ran out of time before he could catch him. A great game to watch! 1-1 :(
Dave Robins 1490 - 10720 Paul Jobbins A couple of useful breaks along the way as Paul ran up his 3rd Interleague 10k+ score this season. Well played Paul! 1-2 ;D
Sheena Wood 1150 - 1470 Ian Giffen A captains game...... that neither of them seemed to want to win! Sheena lost her opening break, Ian pegged his reply and that really set the tone for the rest of the game with Ian getting the balls back right at the end to steal the win. 1-3 ::)
Bob Mehan 3610 - 3440 Ros Appleby Ros off early and Bob managed to build up a useful lead. Ros closed the gap significantly with a useful break of just under 2k but Bob just managed to hold on for the win! 2-3 :(
Brian Muggeridge 3020 - 4470 BB Warrior I managed a 2k opening break but Brian came back strongly and I was glad to just about manage to keep my distance to secure the win. 2-4 ;)
Steve Burns 1310 - 3690 Darrell Skinner Very close game up until the last few minutes when Darrell got the balls back and finished with a 2k+ break. 2-5 ;D
Excellent company and some good close games which could have gone either way, a most enjoyable evening.
PS. Congratulations to Sheena for winning the Plate Competition at the British Isles Ladies Competition earlier today! ;D

Competetive game which could have gone either way, table was good although one or two found the pace hard to read. Good venue and banter a plenty.

Worthing `A` 5 Redhill `A` 2
Different venue for this one with the Elms a bit "dodgy" to say the least :-/. The 3 Horseshoes was the obvious alternative and a good night ensued.
Dipper 6240 Colin Robbins 4760 - What a nice feeling it is to win the first game at home for a change. Roger`s 3 breaks to Colin`s 2 being the deciding factor. 1 - 0
Ian 220 Geoff Jukes 12000 - Geoff was always going to be tough to beat on his own table. He duly obliged by opening with 10k without missing a split. 1 - 1
Tony Lewis 6340 Gary Powell 2550 - Gary was off at under 2k and Tony made a good steady 5800, no more breaks after that. 2 - 1
Mal 9400 Mick Williams 390 - Nice opening break for Mal, just under 9k. 3 - 1
Neil Higgins 9420 Jason Wadsworth 1260 - Comfortable win for Neil after Jason had broken down. 4 - 1
Kt 4890 Tommo 6770 - Couple of decent breaks for Clive, unfirtunately for me, i didn`t get them back til too late. 4 - 2
Martin Smith 15320 DC 240 - Excellent break from Martin, coming off just before the bar dropped. 5 - 2
We`re finishing the I.L. season quite strongly now, just Tunbridge Wells away left. Had we have rammed home the advantage in that first match away to Brighton `A`, who knows what might have been the outcome :o :P
Congratulations to Brighton `A` for doing the double (one day as well).

Just like to add what an excellent venue for bar billiards the Three Horseshoes is. It's like a Tardis, looks small from the outside, but a vast 'playing area' inside. And the food was excellent, especially the Prawn Wantons. :P And after Robbo had polished off most of the chicken wings, I had to laugh when Gary said his plate looked 'like an elephant's graveyard'. ;D
Well done Worthing A on finding a suitable replacement venue for Interleague, and one which brought you victory too !

Can I add 'congratulations' to Tommo for beating the Mighty Sir KT ;D ;D
I must agree with you Clive that the Horseshoes is a lovely venue, I have only been lucky enough to play there once but enjoyed every minute.
