Thanks to our hosts at the Montreal for laying on the great music!
A real thriller of a match with a bit of luck going here and there!
Well done Trevor for the break of the night when you got it back, very controlled on a tricky top.Great break from Gary and a nip and tuck between Micky and John left us 2 1 down Srong break from James put us back to 2 2 Martin took us to 3 2, Great break from Brian back to 3 3
At 3 3 all set up for the Captains' decider, an exciting game for me!! No matter what Micky says Sheena I blame the very dirty white ball that I put to one side in the break you were chasing! ;)
Surprise win for West Sussex 4 3
Considering the grief we all got for playing BB on Valentines night glad it went our way!!
Maybe next year a date best avoided!! :-X

Worthing `B` 1 Worthing `A` 6
A night when the Swan table said " play me if you can " i think :P So many chances for both teams :-/
Nick B. 7830 v 6840 Tony L. - Nick puts his first one up behind, Tony makes a couple. Nick gets them back again and establishes a 3k lead. Tony also gets them back and catches/passes Nicks score by 400 but misses both balls on a split. Nick has a couple of minutes to win the point. 1 - 0
Phil O. 550 v 9390 Ian L. - Ian`s first three visits only yielded about 3k, missing the split frequently. Phil couldn`t clear the table and Ian `s fourth break sealed the point.
Bill K. 3010 v 8900 Barry H. - Barry opened with a not so fluent 7k. The balls then went up the top until both players added a bit more near the end.
Barney 4630 v 7610 Dave I. - Paul broke down early and Dave made three telling breaks to put the leg out of reach.
Doug M. 2530 v 12210 Neil H. - A rematch from last thursday in which Doug benefitted from Neil`s misfortune. Tonight`s game though saw Neil off very early, Doug got them straight back and left his one up short. Neil then killed the leg with an 8k break and added more on his next visit.
Brian R. 2280 v 4650 Martin S. - Very scrappy this one with Martin edging it at the end.
Dave F. 3300 v 9520 Sir KT - Dave opened with 3k+, I replied with the same and left a split short of the 100. Dave then cleared the balls but pegged a split soon after, giving me the break back. I then finished off with 6k.
Good luck in the one dayer chaps. I`ll be thinking about you, inbetween the Man Utd goals ;D ;)

Well done to Mid Sussex for spirited fight back, but pride of place goes to Adam who did not put a foot wrong in compiling 2 x 5k breaks to secure his first competitive 10k, lets hope this gives him the confidence to go on and make many more.

This match, called off by Brighton because of Valentine's Day (ah !) ;D has been re-scheduled for Sunday 14th March. Played tonight, and Redhill managed a rare success against Brighton - who were good company and very sporting in defeat. Redhill A 4, Brighton A 3 (played at the Old Oak) Geoff Jukes 13,360, FeedtheGoat 780 BigJimSilverFox 3170, Nigel Senior 11,250 tommo 4020, SuperMario 5800 Gary Powell 6700, Chunky Monkey 2570 Laurie Roberts 2400, Richard Wooton 7090 Dave Constable 5750, ThreeTimesChamp 5610 Terry Oakley 6760, Tupps 1920 The pivotal moment came in the sixth game, with D.C. at the table with the bar gone, 600 behind and on the break: So many different ways to approach it, and so many different ways to go wrong !After a bit of thought, D.C potted red and white on the break, and did a really thin one-up, leaving the object ball placed for an in-off into the 200 hole. It was a brave shot to try as (he said afterwards) it had travelled slightly further than intended. But he made the in-off shaving the BP on the way in and though it rocked it stayed up. He then potted the break twice to win. What a star !
