Lewes v Redhill A cancelled. Redhill called pub to cancel so not sure when playing. A reason/excuse is in order by way of a courtesy. On this occasion some of our team are actively involved in the running of the BIOC Ladies at the Frenches on the Sunday - and of course Monday is Lewes' league night. So our thanks to Lewes and we will be in touch again a.s.a.p.

Mid-Sussex A 2 Littlehampton 5
Richard Jeffrey 5,340* - 3,250 Eric Hampton Andy Farmer-Wright 840 - 6,020* Steve Beach Graham Sparksman 2,780 - 5,140* Dave Simmonds Henry Brooks 5,830* - 5,370 Hayley Tunstall Derek Taylor 1,620 - 3,120* Simon Mills Dave Ingram 1,780 - 2,990* Dave Hampton Pete Edwards 850* - 9,110 Jason Clough
A below par performance from the Home team giving Littlehampton their revenge tonight...... only real highlights of the evening coming from visiting Birthday girl Lady H (who just ran out of time in her chase for H's score) and Jason who knocked in an excellent 7k+ break in the last game and was the only player from either side who really got to grips with the table. ::)

Eastbourne 6-1 Brighton
Not any scores but alot of games were won or lost by a few hundred.
Table very tricky with massive mushrooms ( First i've seen them used since playing in a match ) that only fell twice all night even if were hit with pace. Table was similar to the old one that used to be in the Windmill with pockets different distances to normal and table very narrow.

Brighton A 6 - 1 Worthing B
Richard Wooton * 15,340 v 330 Bill Kerr Dave Reeves 11,010 v 2490 Nick Brown* Gareth Lloyd 9,180 v 7,870 Brian Richards ( Charlie)* Chris Reeves* 7,490 v 2,830 Doug Mahy Chris Tupper 6,080 v 500 Phil Oakley* Nigel senior 9,770 v 10,970 Dave france* Kevin Hall* 9,220 v 2,150 Gary ridley
A couple of great games, Gareth went on 7,800 down, got the balls back and left his one up behind the 50, he then got them back at his next visit and cleared up to win with just over 9k
Nigel went on 10,970 down against Dave France opening break and only had just over 7 minutes to catch it, he flew and made 9,770 . Great game
Tupps is now on 9 out of 9 - well played mate

Workmanlike win from Worthing `A` last night, beating Tunbridge Wells 7-0. It sounds one sided I know, but the table played quite tricky after the first game.
Neil Higgins 13,970 v 340 Brian Mason - Neil opened with a good 9k and added some more for good measure.
Ian Lelliott 4,950 v 3,040 Brian Stevens - Several chances for both players, Ian just edged it.
Barry Holt 10,400 v 1,810 Martin Leach - Martin went thin on his first one up and was in trouble thereafter. Two breaks from Barry made sure.
Roger Taylor 9,640 v 1,230 Vinny Mitchell - Roger was off early but Vinny couldn`t take advantage. Dipper made the game safe on his next visit.
KT 9,690 v 2,630 Pete Sainsbury - Pete opened with just under 2k. I replied with about 5k and Pete did get them back straight away. He didn`t take his chance and I made another 4k.
Martin Smith 6,520 v 3,060 Neil Chamberlain - Neil opened with the best break for the visitors 2,800 but after several goes each, Martin made a winning break.
Tony Lewis 9,600 v 2,230 Doug Phillips - Table difficult ??? Tony looked happy with his 9k opener, giving Doug no chance.
Unfortunately, the pub was rather rowdy with half term upon us and there was plenty of foul language amongst the youngsters in the games bar. It did spoil the evening for the ladies who came along with the T/W boys, so I do apologise for that. It`s not normally like that. We may change the venue next year
So all set for the decider in 3 weeks, winner takes all ;)

Sir KT is too kind. We were rubbish. Worthing more than deserved their win.

better late than never nothing to do with the result just as Sparky says lack of time & access to PC .
A bad night for us I thought I had my tatics right but it was only the ever dependable Darrell who saved us from the whitewash.
Billinshurst 6 Mid Sussex B 1
Paul Phillips 4720 iang 1540 Steve Eely 3490 Paul Jobbins 3110 Steve Holden 3510 Rob Hall 1930 Chip Sawyer 3610 Paul Moyes-Robb 1120 Keith Newman 3620 Trevor Rees 1560 Mick Johnson 1600 Darrell Skinner 4280 Ding Johnson 1320 Ros Appleby 1060
Well played Billingshurst. We have a tough battle now but I'm sure it will go to the last series before we have a winner.

Lewes have very kindly agreed to play us (Redhill A) at Sunday lunchtime on 26th April. This meets the rule requirement that the postponed fixture is fulfilled before the last round of matches - by about 4 hours !
So Redhill are embarking on a sort of three-counties tour : Newhaven for the Lewes match at 2pm; then on to the Imperial to play Tunbridge Wells in the evening, then finally homeward bound from there. :o
