I hear BB Warrior`s happy 8-) D Ingram 18,210 – 240 C Thompson Yes, he lodged a Personal Best against Redhill's reserve (emergency only) player. I don't mind, was expecting to play Nigel and have 20k put past me. ;) Well done to Dave (an opener of 11k and 7k added) 8-) and also to the awesome Nigel for the demonstration of speedplay.

Performance of the week has to go to Daniel Wheal of West Sussex...... who (aged just 11! :o) won the opening game of their match against Brighton C with a score of 3,230. 8-) ;D
Daniel is a great young prospect who started playing in West Sussex League last season, I think he must be the youngest ever winner in Sussex Inter League history.
Well done Daniel..... the first of many wins in this competition I am sure. ;)
His (slightly older...!) team mates then ensured that his victory was not in vain as they completed a 4-3 win on the night. :D

I would like to echo the above comments about Daniel. He was very impressive at the one day interleague earlier in the year!
Does this mean I'm one of the old guys now?

The young chap was awarded the W Sx League's spirit of the game award last season - based a great deal on his demeanour and willingness to score (both games and points ;-) ) at the one day event. Thoroughly well deserved and he is a real prospect.
Indeed, with the current mobility of players between W Sx / S coast in general and Northampton seemingly drastically increased, I look forward to welcoming Daniel as a guest to the Fox in Thrapston (Joe & Ivan more than welcome too, of course) at some point before the end of this season :-)

Tun Wells 3 Worthing A 4 Scores to follow from Sir KT:) Brian Stevens 10740 v 5720 Martin Smith - Brian opened with 10k. Richard Corbauld 6650 v 9520 Barry Holt - Barry also kicked off with enough. Vinny Mitchell 7460 v 6910 Jim Greenstead - Couple of early chances for Jim but couldnt take them. Vinny compiled a steady 6k+ and surprisingly touched up. Had Jim got the break straight back, he would surely have won. Pete Sainsbury 18710 v 200 Neil Higgins - Pete whipped his first split into a peg giving Neil a great early chance, unfortunately a missed ball up the middle gave Pete a second chance. A 9k+ & an 8k+ break made sure of that. Neil Chamberlain 8770 v 9570 Ian Lelliott - Ian left his first one up short and Neil made a useful 8700 but just left Ian enough time. He played out time very quickly to save the point. Martin Russell 5610 v 10950 Chris Lawman - Chris opened with 10k to level the match. Doug Phillips 500 v 16240 Sir KT - Doug was off on his first split and I cleared to make a winning break.

I thought it was a very fair table, rewarding split and pot alike. Took a few shots to get used to it but there were some good performances.
Cant remember all of the scores but I know Gareth was the only 10k break. I pegged a 3k opener, against John but got the break back and played it out with about 7k. Horshams new guy (Adam? I think was his name and played really well) had the unenviable task of playing against Dave F who opened with an excellent 250. Dave got the break back at the next visit some 5k down and knocked in a good 8k break.
It was a table that you needed a bit of luck and on the night it was in our favour!!
