As always a very pleasant evening with the Watermill. I found the newly retopped table to be quite nice, although nobody else seemed to agree. Odd, its usually the other way round XD

Last game Thriller with both player matching each other but neither running away with it. ;D

Two 'missing' reports from Roy to complete the first week. The relevant page now appears on the website.
Plough 4 Watermill Phoenix 1
The Watermill Phoenix, a mix of players from the Watermill and the Woolpack (no more the Woolies) started their new adventure with a visit to the Plough. Malc Fuller gave the new team a great start, hitting 5K past Richard Todd for the first point. The home side immediately hit back with consecutive wins for Chase Newman over Jan Hinkins, Darren Newman beating Debbie White and Dave Knight besting Nigel Bransby. The best came last with a sparkling 9K from Jan Bithell in her win over new skipper Adie White.
Horns Lodge 1 St Francis 2
Funny old score line here brought about by the home side introducing unregistered players. In the final analysis, Matt Geal beat Peter Shaw to put Saints into an early lead. The Lodge hit back with wins for Jim McGlenn and Dave Tiffin over Roger Wallbank and Bob Ellis. Chris Little beat Fenella S-F who unfortunately was not registered so a walkover was award to Chris. Saints only had 4 players so the score was 2 apiece with a point deducted from the Lodge for fielding a wrong’un.

The Horns Lodge have got their points back, as it transpires that the players were registered after all ! An eMail has been sent to all captains explaining the full circumstances, and league tables have been amended accordingly: www.mid-sussexbbl.co.uk/page6.html
