Mill House 4, Windmill A 1
Tony Franks 1850, Alec Gasson 710 Johnny Haigh 2270, Andy Crofton 1530 Vicky Timson 1360, Joan Davies 1920 Barry Timson 2040, Rob David 1750 tommo 5260, Mark Gasson BP
Table not brilliant tonight: it was hard work clearing the table for the break back, which led to some close games. Joan always plays well against the Mill House and tonight was no exception. Windmill were denied a second point when Barry 'stole' his game from Rob with a well-timed thousand break at the end.
Thanks to our opponents for making it a good evening, and we look forward to visiting you in the new year. 8-)

Black Dog 3, Southwater SC 2 according to Alan.
The team's table has found a happier place of rest in the Dog, and everything more or less in place. A slight problem with the site of a loudspeaker which nearly scared a player out of his skin, and one halogen ceiling light is working against the overhanging table light and causing a slight shadow - but nothing that can't be rectified.

Black Dog play their first match at their new home & enjoyed the ambience with the table settling into new surroundings. Steve King took the opener from Gordon Ling, Southwater captain duly replied with 5760 to balance the card, Jeff Raine put the visitors in front for a short spell but a determined game from Chris Kirkham forced the decider. Back in the fold Dave Evans did enough to win the match.

Limeburners are joint top in Division 2 with a 4-1 away win at The Stout House. Tony Temple & Chip Sawyer showed their prowess with 2 classy wins Steve Holden’s 5K over Dave Howlett put the match in the bag. Keith Newman gave Stout their point & Mick Johnson took the last from Gordon Carver.
