I have removed the entry form for the moment.
Bournemouth 2013 WILL go ahead but please do NOT send any entries to Eric Hill. Owing to unforeseen circumstances Eric cannot run the tournament in 2013.
An announcement will follow in the next couple of days.
Chris Saville.

AEBBA are having extreme difficulty in contacting Eric.
Could those of you who have sent entry forms off with or without cheques to Eric, could you please pm, phone (01304 372867)or email me ASAP. I need to know how much you have paid and, if possible, whether the cheque has been cashed.
Please pass this on to your team-mates as a matter of urgency.
Please do not read anything untoward into this move, we simply have a comms problem at this stage for reasons unknown.
Chris Saville.

I have just got back from Bournemouth.
I saw Eric Hill yesterday and have received the deposits for 2013.
Dave, Chrissie and I met this morning and then met the new hotel manager this lunchtime for a very productive talk.
Bournemouth 2013 will be run by Dave, Chrissie and myself, a totally new management team. We are re-negotiating some of the details and I will be able to tell you more about 2013 by mid week. Full and proper accounts will be produced and independently examined for presentation to members.
An announcement will be made at the AGM about previous matters, once the AEBBA committee have discussed this weekend's news.
On a completely separate and unrelated matter, Mark Trafford will not be standing again as AEBBA Treasurer. I have offered to fill that roll on a short term basis to tie in with bringing Bournmouth under the full control of AEBBA, Chrissie Newson has also offered to be put forward as Assistant Treasurer. I will happily defer to anyone who wishes to fill this role at the AGM.
AEBBA will not be solely reserving all of the hotel rooms this year as we cannot fill the hotel on last years numbers. Once all details have been fialised for the AGM I would ask all players to support the Bournemouth weekend by staying at the Queens Hotel. The hotel normally charge £1000 per day for the big conference room, we are getting it free. The hotel also give three free weekend packages for prizes and a £250 cash sponsorship. The rooms package is at a good discount and we are trying to renegotiate some aspects of this. We are in danger of losing this sponsorship of several thousand pounds!
Once details are out at the AGM it is imperative that people book by the closing dates.
I have made this announcement with full authority and knowledge of the AEBBA Secretary.
Best wishes,
Chris Saville

A huge thank you to Chris, Chris and Dave for taking this on at such short notice - we can be sure it is in good hands.
..and also a vote of thanks to Eric for all the hard work he has put into organising it in the past.
