White Hart 'B' v Marine View 'A'
3 - 2
Hayley Tunstall 1940 v 4170 Matt Mason Dave Slaughter B/P v 1840 Dave Catchpole Dave "the coach" East 3090 v 2630 Bob Thomas Gareth Cornford 4030 v 1790 Bepo Dan Swain 3250 v 1700 John Hayes
Hayley struggled to get going and matt played well to take a 1-0 lead. Dave lost a 3k opening break and dave played well meaning dave was forced to push it and unfortuanately pegged a couple leaving him with too much too do. 2-0 down. Needed a player with experience for the third to turn the game and who better than the coach to unsettle bob thomas and pinch a cat and mouse gamne at the death. 2-1 I was feeling unusually confident tonight and was right to give myself the break, came off 0n 1k but bepo failed to capitalise and let me back in to score another 2.6k break to make sure. 2-2. Pressure game fell to Dan swain and he always stayed far enough in front of john to ensure victory 3-2.
A fun evening as always and glad to turn the result in our favour. Sorry if it was a little loud for the Marine View crowd with the pool final taking place at the same time.

So pleased to see that Tony has looked after the table, it played very well.
Keith Swain 360 v 5250 Steve Beach Pete Hickman 3360 v 7170 Alan Messer - A nice 5k break to seal this game. James Osborn 0 v 8940 Nipper - A fab 8800 opener from Martin put the result beyond doubt. David Collins 3800 v 1880 Chocie - We now know what Stu needs for xmas, a NEW ALARM CLOCK.If i hadn`t rung him at 8.35pm, i doubt he`d have made it ::) Tony Collins 0 v 17860 - With the other guys setting up the win, i thought i`d go for a biggy ;D (pto)
Lovely spread of sandwiches to follow.

Sounds exactly the opposite to me. In all 5 games someone stuffed their opponent and 3 of those games were done in 1 break. Far more competitive at the Cellar bar where the girls (plus 1) could easily have taken our trousers down (so to speak) and everybody had at least a couple (and usually a few more than that) of chances to win their game. Particularly the first where Chris Richards was ahead very near to the end and Neil had to get the 100 to win (Chris needed the 200)

Loz Hickman 6930 2250 Steve Aylmore * Not that it matters but pretty sure this is a bit wrong, I got over a 6k break to win it and then played the table out at the end for over 1k inc the 100 :-/ doesn't add up, think the 1k wasn't put up at the end as I remember people saying I was 6k up on Steve when he was on about 1500 but hey ho! ::)
