I'm surprised not to see any results on this yet!
Anyway from what I've been told congratulations must go to Pauline Withey who won this event by beating Denise Wills in the final.
This means she has done an unbelievable "Treble" as she also won the BIOC Ladies and All England Ladies titles earlier in the year (Has this ever been done before ?)....Well done Pauline you certainly are a "Special" lady. 8-) :-*
Must say though that everyone there would have wanted you to lose because isn't Denise going to strip off if she ever wins a Ladies Open....what a "sight for sore eyes" that would be!! :-* ;D ;)

This means she has done an unbelievable "Treble" as she also won the BIOC Ladies and All England Ladies titles earlier in the year (Has this ever been done before ?)....Well done Pauline you certainly are a "Special" lady. 8-) :-* Yes, many congratulations to Pauline who played superbly beating Denise in the Final after beating Jenny Florey in the semi-finals and Soni MacIntyre in the quarter-finals, Denise having beaten Sheila King and Janet Burns at the same stages with Sandra Hall and Genette Nicholls the other quarter-finalists. ;D Lorraine Hall won the Plate Competition beating Genette Nicholls in the final with Ros Appleby and Dawn Jordan the semi-finalists in the Plate. As always, the men in the room waiting with eager anticipation to see if Denise would win and then keep her promise.... :o Must say though that everyone there would have wanted you to lose because isn't Denise going to strip off if she ever wins a Ladies Open....what a "sight for sore eyes" that would be!! :-* ;D ;) .... but it was not to be.... :'( .... although Denise did win the High Break Award with 5,850 to just take that from Colleen Park (who hit a personal best of 5,720 against Denise! :-*) in a very good 1st Round match. Perhaps a bit of reverse phsychology is needed for Denise.... so that she has to strip off if she LOSES a Final.... :-[ .... maybe that would give her even more of an incentive to win?? :o ;D Some excellent games from all of the Ladies during the day and well run as always by Dave Alder and his team of helpers. 8-)

Well Done Pauline, the new tip must be alright then :) It looks like it Lewis and she has lost half an inch (sorry 1.27cm) off the end of the cue. ;D I'm sure your new tip will be scoring loads in Jersey soon as well! ::)

Great day on Sunday, thank you Dave, well done Pauline and Lorraine on your wins, also well done to my lovely Surrey colleagues on their achievements. Yes my day will eventually come, I hope sooner rather than later before everything starts heading further south!! x
