Second leg of Inter Area Final is at the Caversham Working Mens Club in Reading tonight.
First leg result was Oxford A 5 Reading A 0.
Jenny and I may have a logistical problem with getting there with the individual trophies tonight as Witney is very flooded at the moment :-/ and appears to be grid-locked. The main trophy will be there for presentation to the winners though and hopefully all will be well later if and when the floods recede!

Reading A 3-2 Oxford A - Oxford A win 7-3 on agg
No scores to hand...
Adam Cox beat Steven Sheard Terry Vallis lost to Mark Trafford Keith Lewendon beat Alan Oliver Geoff Pitt beat Kevin Godfrey Dave Alder lost to Dave Tooke
Some good games in there, most notably Adam winning by 14k in the first to wipe out half the agg score.

Many, many congratulations to Oxford A on a terrific victory over a very strong Reading side and well done Mark on taking the crucial leg.
I can only apologise again for missing it but it was like Venice here at seven o'clock last night....

Just received a short report from Geoff Pitt of Reading. Many thanks to him.
Adam Cox 13540 - 600 Steven Sheard Terry Vallis 3370 - 7090 Mark Trafford Keith Lewendon 4720 - 2630 Alan Oliver Geoff Pitt 10090 - 1090 Kevin Godfrey Dave Alder 2820 - 8360 Dave Tooke
Geoff's report We couldn’t quite manage the 5 – 0 we needed, though we did have our chances. Adam started us off well with an opening break of just under 10k, and after some bottom of the table play, got the break back to finish off with another 3k. Mark Trafford came off an opening break of just 500, but Terry was unable to capitalise and Mark got it back quickly and put up a winning break to clinch the game and title. Keith and Alan had a scrappy game with Lew coming out on top to put us 2 -1 up on the night. I had a shaky start but got the break back early on and put up 8k to seal the 4th game. Dave Alder also had his chances against Dave Tooke but again the away player got his head down and ground out a break of about 7k to end the comp at 7 – 3 to Oxford. Inter Area Chairman, Terry Alder then presented the cup to Oxford.

That's three years running that Oxford A have made the final, they were R/Up last year but won it in 2010. 8-) Well done also to you Tony on doing an excellent job as Secretary of the Inter Area and for doing your superb (neat & tidy) Newsletters. PS Seeing what's coming across from the Atlantic at the moment it looks like we're all going to need a boat in a few hours time! ??? Keith

Well done to Oxford A, if we were to pick up at least 1 match away it might have been bit more exciting all the way to the end, luck fell on me getting the break!
the whole competition was run really well we had no issues through the year so really well done to the lads and teams for this it does make it!
look forward to see you all again in Bournemouth doubles,
have a good xmas and keep safe and dry!

Thank you Keith :'( The view from outside my house was on page 2 of the Oxford Mail today. The council men have just come and taken the road barriers away and I mentioned to them that they may as well leave them there for the morning.... :-/ Adam. Nice to see you posting again and well played last night - excellent effort Tony
