Bar billiards got a mention on the ITV quiz show "The Chase" last night when quizmaster Bradley Walsh asked How many white balls are available in English Bar Billiards? The contestant answered five, but the chaser Mark "The Beast" Labbett answered correctly with seven and mentioned that he always enjoyed BB as it was a very mathematical game (!) but it was quite rare to see a table in pubs these days as it has been driven out by pool. Nice friendly mention on TV :D

Yes, The Chase is compulsive viewing (much better than Pointless, on at the same time).
And that question started me out of my chair at the time :o. Reckon Labbett would make a good bb player, as he says, it's mathematical (well in the respect that geometry plays a big part when calculating angles).
