Just saw a cracking video on youtube where someone plays a break shot with three balls piled in a triangle behind the 20 pockets and one ball resting on top against the cushion, both sets of balls on both sides go down the two 30s, two 20s and the 10, obviously from the vibrations, who is this player in question for they want knighting?! Look it up, best bar billiards trick shot i belive its called :)

Try it on your table....the difficult bit is balancing the balls at the top (works better if one break ball goes in before the other) Tony

.........and you have to remember to give the table a sly shake as you play the break shot! ;D Most embarrassing thing is if everything goes in to plan but you miss the break ! LOL

I have seen the shot played, it was at the Fountain in Horsham, we then set them up again and I played it myself. ;D
All you need is a very springy wooden floor and it works a treat.

Timmy plays for the olop (Our Lady Of Peace), He owns a small number of tables that are being used in some pubs/clubs.

Re the trick shot,
It needs to be a fairly fast table or the bakks won't roll enough. Trick is the push one pair of base balls for the triangle hard into the cloth when positioning and the other two lightly. That way, hopefully one triangle breaks before the other.
Then walk back carefully and don't touch the table!!

Thank you Gandalf. The cat's not very tactically astute, losing to a variation of the scholar's mate. :o
The musical piece is Bach's Fugue in D minor. ;)
