Hi Lewes Bb Fans
Result card for The star v The Plough Played at the star
Phil Osbourne 5240 v 3340 Darren Newnham Colin Southouse 7180 v 1860 Chase Newman Stewart Chant 1980 v 990 Fenella Fisher Peter Payne 5900 v 780 Geoff Fairs Bob Osbourne 1870 v 7630 Trevor Rees
Result the star win 4-1
Darren was 2k ahead with about 5mins to go looking an easy winner, the form returned to Phil Osbourne and nailed a steady 4k+ break at the death to nick the game on a tricky top tonight.Looked like it had been joggled again :'( After a weak start Colin stayed on the table for some time and amassed a game winning break of 5K+ leaving Chase no time to catch up Stewart continued his long trip back to reality, both he and Fenella (great name) struggled throughout the game to trouble the scorer but stewart somehow held a few more telling small breaks to take the game and match. Peter was always ahead of Geoff (called him Mick most of the night, sorry Geoff) a BP mid game knocked the stuffing out of Geoffs game and he never recovered. A clash of the titans in game 5 with Trevor opening with a rock steady 4.4k break, Bob though playing some good shots took too many pegs and when Trev copped another 2.7k the game was concluded.
Nice night with Darrens Dandys, great pizzas at the interval, though the table was very awkward tonight somehow 36000 points were scored, so not too bad in the end.

The belated scores from Black Horse V Brewers Arms
Black Horse:3 Brewers Arms:2
R.Wooton:530 Dave:3640 A late BP from Mr. Wooton gave him no time to catch up. R.Todd:2010 Paul:1240 R.Bithell:4360 Lynne:850 Jan:1830 Spud:3350 Dave:3830 Andy:2800
Scores suggest that it was hard going on the night but a jolly evening nonetheless. Thanks to the Black Horse for a good game. Love the refurb in the pub. Much brighter in there now.
