St Francis 2 - 3 Laughing Fish
Chris Little 2020 - 1300 Jamie Hall Peter Geal 1370 - 2310 Les Whiteman Shaun Morris 4480 - 720 Ray Carpenter Roger Wallbank BP - 3820 Ron Sheridan Bob Ellis 610 - 7120 H
Great evening as always with the St Francis crowd. Third visit to this table, third time I have found it hard to see why it gets such criticism - flat as a pancake, just have to contend with the high-kicking cushions. Could quite happily have stayed on there all night!
Cheers to Shaun and the crew, and looking forward to the two biggest drinking teams in the league meeting for the return fixture!

Sorry no scores to hand but
Watermill Phoenix 0 - 5 HH USC
Last ball in 200 for Ron Wales to win his very close game on this good table. Several games could have had different results until the Club players finished strongly. Great evening in good company, thanks to the Phoenix and 'mine host' Kevin.

Hurst 'A' 1 Eight Bells 4 Bobhall | 0180 | Derek* | 8890 | Pete Edwards* | 2230 | Ros | 3660 | Lorraine | 2980 | Dilly* | 7920 | Andy F-W* | 2880 | Roy | 3050 | Pete Hall | 5380 | Trevor* | 2660 |
Game 3 played 1st. Lovely 5.7k opener from Dilly left Lorraine struggling. Pete E played a surprising 4 down shot to give me a chance. Game 1 played 3rd. Derek opened with 2k, but was the first to clear the balls and made sure with 5.8k. The fourth leg was nip and tuck all the way, mostly with Andy leading, but a resolute performance by the old fella in the final minute took the frame. The last was close for a long while, with Pete maintaining a narrow lead, but he got the break back and took control in the last few minutes. Lots of laughs tonight. ;D Derek owes me a red wine for getting over excited and shaking me while I was holding my full glass! He needs to be careful, I might turn him into a garden gnome, or an elf..... ;) Thanks to bobhall for the scrummy chicken nugget things and great sarnies.

Special guest on the night was Q who was up country for his grandaughters birthday.
Good to see you again Bernie & it was nice to see Stuart having a game at the end as well.
