Inter Area 2013 AGM

It's that time of year again!

I have sent the Minutes of the 2012 Inter Area Bar Billiards Association AGM to all secretaries, captains and other interested parties.  If anyone else wishes to see a copy please let me know.

Next year's AGM  is at the Bletchington Sports and Social Club at 2.30pm on Sunday 13th January 2013 (by kind permission)

If you have any proposals for rule changes to be discussed at this meeting please get them to me by post, email or via the Forum by December 20th 2012 at the very latest and, of course, properly proposed and seconded.  You should be available to come and discuss your proposal at the meeting

Having read through the minutes for last years meeting, I noticed that it was mentioned about raising the under 22's to under 25's, but then decided this must be a proposal.This would allow it to match the age limit of the AEBBA competition, which was very competitive and had a good number. I don't know how many of them who played wouldn't qualify for the under 22's. But it would certainly be worth trying to find out.

Just one proposal 'received' for the AGM

Proposed Tony Willis, seconded Jenny Parsons
That from 2014 the under-22 tournament should be changed to an under 25 tournament and that a rule 33A is added thus;

Rule 33A;  An Under 25 competition for the Ray Sturgess Cup will be run at the One Day event provided that enough entries are received by the Secretary to make it viable.  Trophies will be provided for the winner and runner-up.
