Just to advise that Andy C (who secured a win versus Dan Rawson) has kindly agreed to reschedule our match as a result of a clash with me being unable to make the 28th.
Will advise of revised date when agreed.
Thanks.

Just noticed that a Bye appeared next to my name in the draw for Thursday 28th. I didn't realise that Ian was out for this one too?? Good job I looked or the other matches would have had an interested onlooker/scorer for the night :)
Cheers... Mick.

Yeah, that's why i couldn't do the blind pairs with you, as I can't make finals weekend this year, it would be unfair to any opponents if i played from round one, and won. :D

Dave Sadler v Lorin Clough Jason Neal v Stephen Coleman Lorin had a comfortable victory over Dave and Jase, who was in excellent form, proved too strong for Stephen this time. In a tense final it was early mistakes in both legs that made things exciting. Jason securing only about 2.5k in his opening break led to a short passage of scrappy play including Jase losing an additional 2k. Toward the end Lorin secured a break of about 8k to leave him a little over 7k up with his break to come. In leg 2 Lorin, despite needing to stay on for 5 or maybe 6k, broke down at about 4.5k. Jason needed about 11.5k in the remaining 12 minutes. He set to work and rarely looked in trouble but could not keep to the time. Eventually he ended the game an agonising 6 or 700 short despite a 10k plus break under extreme pressure. A game worthy of a final.
