Dun Horse 3 Blue Ship 2
Colin Bolton 1800 Steve Holden 1740 Stuart Hope 2910 Ding Johnson 3950 Dave Simmons 5010 Colin Cathie 1230 Scott Hope 3460 James Childs 2430 Grant Hope 1670 Mick Johnson 4450
Game 1: Nail-biting finish, Colin snatched the game with 2nd go at the 100. Early losses from both players. Game 2: Close Game, Ding pulled ahead in the closing stages. Game 3: Not much going Colin’s way, Dave made the best of it. Game 4: A 2k6 loss from Scott then Porgie put the pressure on. Scott got his head down in the end. Game 5: 1k+ start from both players before scores dried up for Grant. Mick’s steady potting winning the game.
Festive fun at The Dun tonight, bringing the first half to a close with both teams huddled round the (Gas) fire, fending off the seasonal climate as Christmas Carols played in the background. 8-) ;D

Word on the street is...... Stout Z 'BFZ' - 5 Roffey SC
Springbok 2-3 The Railway FYI... The Boks played some quality Billiards & probably deserved more from the match!!! It's great to see their improvement every time we play them.
Scores to follow.....

Yes, us ZZZZZZZZZZ's took one hell of a beating!!! Fair play to the Roffey, they took their chances and battered us, Dementia Dick played the best I've seen him play for years, Foxy played our table out with just under 17k, Twiggy was in inspired form, the only games we had a chance we didn't take our chances. Well done Roffey.....B*****ds!!!! LOL

It's great to see their improvement every time we play them. Scores to follow..... And here are the scores T Goacher 1640 M Clack 3930 I was pants, Mick was not hey ho. B Hicks 2480 M Cork 2130 Bill took an early lead and Mike came back well, had the table and balls at the end to take it but missed a crucial pot. G Marshall 3400 S Merriot 3050 A great game this, Gaz applied early pressure, and Sniffer used all his experience to put 2K together putting the pressure back on the young un, who held his nerve rattled in 500 with remaining balls to take a well deserved win. G Jarrett 1000, Adam 2600 (Sorry cant read my daughters writing of surname!!) A game which Graham started brightly and was unlucky on the way. Skippy kept his head down to put together some decent scores to claim the game. K Nixon BP N Worsfold 2990 If it was a singing competition Ken would have won, however, Nigel was in good potting form and silenced the crooner from the north. A fun entertaining evening, always have a laugh with the Railway lads and appreciate their encouragement.

Roffey Club 5 Springbok Club 0
Took a bit of a battering last night from the very accommodating lads at Roffey. Did not note the scores as our Skipper, Gaz, was sulking due to our awful performance, that's what happens after a few close games, he thinks we are world beaters ::).
Anyway, I would like to thank Dick for introducing me to 'Mother in Law', I found her extremely pleasant, so much so I had trouble getting out of bed this morning! ( He can explain).
Now when it comes to disrupting the opponents before the game even starts, the prize has to go to Roffey, they took the trouble to have a poor fella, throw himself on the floor, smash his head leading to paramedics being called. Thankfully the gentleman was attended to very quickly and taken conscious to hospital, but it put us off our game, hence the result ;). And they moaned about the 'Major'.
Happy Christmas to one and all ( well probably to one as not many get on the forum), have a great time and see you all in the New Year.
Trevor
