Roffey SSC 3, Mill House 2Dementia Dick 9790, Mick H 2930 Moose 3850, Alan D 5630 Pete the Fish 2450, Graham D 8350 Twiggy 10,350, Barry T 1630 Shaggy 12,560, tommo 870 The new boys took on the might of the First Division leaders and came away with the 2 point yield. A quaint symmetry to the card, with away scores going up and down, and home scores going down and up, rather like a sine wave: The last frame being the highlight for one side and the lowlight for the other !

Alfold SC 1 Dun Horse 4
Dave Tilley 210 Stuart Hope 7420 Cliff Greening 4590 Colin Bolton 1530 Robin Burgess 2020 Dave Simmons 6170 Garry Fishburn 1460 Grant Hope 1760 Dave Slater 600 Scott Hope 5270
Game 1: Pops on fire tonight, outgunned Dave with a 2k & a 3k break. Game 2: Although Colin started strongly, a 4 break let Minor in to take control. Game 3: Dave started with 4k5, Rob unable to get going. Game 4: Scrappy game. Garry pegged a 2k5 in the closing stages :'(, Grant lucky to clinch it. Game 5: Scott in front all the way. Dave lost more than he scored.
A fun night at Alfold with chat & banter. Thanks to Rob for the delicious spread of food and the vicious green sauce. :P

Springbok Club 2 Stout House A 3
G Marshall 3360 T Clasby 100
A totally one sided affair, with poor Tony having no luck whatsoever. Gaz built up several modest breaks to command this game, whilst Tony's efforts ended with missed balls and white pegs. I actually ended up feeling sorry for him.
G Jarrett 360 J Tidy 3920
A similar game to the first with JT taking command, poor Graham just could not get any break going and JT took advantage when given the opportunity.
A Goacher 410 S Short 660
The score line does not do this game justice. Sam started brightly and was commanding the game. Alice pulled off some decent shots to keep her in the frame. Near the end Sam BP, giving Alice the advantage as bar dropped, but Sam pulled together a match winning break to snatch it at the death.
R Parsons 1160 P Trigwell 1570
A close encounter throughout with the table getting clogged with all the balls. Pete kept his nose in front and whilst Ron tried everything to get the break back was not to be.
T Goacher 1840 P Hartley 1820
A close game throughout with neither player shining. As the bar went down Pete put together a break to take the lead, but missed the 100 with the last ball. Fortunately for me I sunk the ball at the second time of asking.
A pleasant evening, lots of banter as usual. Always have a great night with the Stout House team and as ever they offered their encouragement to our players.

Maybe a Highlight for Mr Howlett, 10k 8-) :) Yes, Twigs was delighted with that, his second-ever 10k score. 8-) And a fine 8k break from Shaggy after my early miss. Vern is right, that's two I've lost already in the second half. :'( Evening started with a cryptic decoding by the captains of each others' pictorial nametags! ;D
