The Fox's newly-acquired carrier pigeon is certainly earning its corn ! Yes, great match tonight (3-2 how we like it) with some good performances on either side. Barry 3780, Junkie 1520 Graham 11,330, Rick 450 Mick 3490, Dorsal 4370 Alan 1290, Vernon 4120 tommo 6150, Richard 2060 Staring down the barrel of the gun at 2-0 down the Zeds rallied well, Andy taking his chance well after Mick had built a useful lead. Vernon's game - despite losing an opening break of 4k - was a masterclass of how to play a variety of splits (as demonstrated to good effect earlier by Graham). Typically dour game from tommo in the last, not daring to risk his 'A' game at 2-2. ::)

Blue Ship (Nomads) 5 Springbok Club 0
H Fowler 3270 B Hicks 2320
Bill was ahead in the game for a long period, a 1K+ break as the bar dropped gave Hugh the point.
J Thayre 1520 G Jarrett 750
Neither player had a good game, John was well out of sorts but did enough to put Graham to the sword.
P Barnett 3480 R Parsons 490
Barney was always in control leaving Ron in his wake, despite a valiant effort.
C Barrow 6260 G Marshall 1500
Sparrow shone tonight, had a very steady game. Poor Gaz tried his best but failed when the opportunity rose.
D Sands 2420 T Goacher 2410
I had control of this game until Dave cleared the table at the death to score 500 plus to snatch the victory.
A great evening, with smashing sarnies. The Nomads may not of been at their best, but walk away with a handful of points. Our heaviest defeat for weeks, so back down to earth.

Just a quick thank you Boggy for grabbing my hat I left at Blue Ship ;) That reminds me, is there a claimant for the scarf ?Mill House 4, Railway 1 Someone left their scarf behind, possibly Nigel. Has been put safely behind the bar for you. Will try and get it back to whoever the owner is, possibly via Adam/Stout House.

Stout A 3, Alfold 2
Good to see the guys again, scores in order of play as follows:
Tidy 1,870, Robin 5,170 Great game from Robin once he'd worked the break out.
Pete H 3,150, Cliff 1,670 I think Cliff pegged more than he scored, I kept leaving the 1up short, but prevailed in the end!
Tony 1,400, Malcolm 2,140 Tony having no luck, Malcolm doing enough.
Sam 1,530, Dave 880 Bit of a struggle on both sides.
Pete T 4,180, Garry 2,130 Good game by both. Should have had this game first as we could all have learned something!
Pete
