HI Lewes BB fans
Result card for the Star v The Black Horse
Phil Osbourne 3110 v 810 Roger Munn Stewart Chant 4350 v 3800 Jan Bithell Peter Payne 4180 v 380 James Swann Colin Southouse 7810 v 2050 Dave Todd Tony Smith 2240 v 6150 Ric Bithell
Result The Star win 4-1
Roger missed the one up leaving Phil to open with 3.5k but he was obviously feeling like he was taking advantage and thought it appropriate to demolish the black to even things up a bit. Phil kept scoring and pulling ahead and another attempt by Phil to nail the black just before the bar came down was unsuccessful, we did think about declaring a hit and run incident with the landlord but we were all overcome with relief.
Stewart opened with 1k and Jan replied with 2.5k, the table slowed down really quickly tonight which gave Jan a few problems allowing Stewart to gradually creep up from behind and overtake with a nice 1.7k at the bar and am pleased to report no last ditch attempt to target the black, perhaps Stewart had passed this little gremlin on to Phil::)
James (Super last minute sub) Swan was against it from the start with Peter playing quite well and James learning shots on his feet but Peter kept pulling away at every turn
Colin opened with 3.5k Dave replied with 1k and another 3k put the game beyond Dave's reach, Dave recovered the break near the end and looked comfortable but the bar put paid to Dave posting a large score.
Rick off early against an under par Tony but made a nice 4K+ which was enough to take a consolation point for the Black horse
A few games of pool and another 4 pin between Colin/Peter & Ric/Jan looks like we've got another 2 converts now
