BrewBells 4 Laughing Fish 1 Tony | 2020 | H* | 2150 | Derek* | 3820 | Les Whiteman | 1360 | Neil | 4090 | Andy Brooks* | 1150 | Roy* | 4970 | Ray Carpenter | 1300 | Ros | 4920 | Ron Sheridan* | 1570 |
A nice evening with plenty of good conversation. Tony very unlucky: needing to keep either the red up for the 100 or the white for the 200 and, as is often the way, he potted both. Once again, a very warm welcome from Mike at the Brewers. ...and that gives us the Div 1 title 8-)

Phoenix 4, Horns Lodge 1.
Oh dear, the wheels have come off the Horns Lodge wagon over the last few weeks. Pete Shaw in the first leg managed to spare us the whitewash, but some excellent play by the home side sealed our fate. Thanks to the Watermill for their hospitality and a very convivial evening.

Pity they found themselves a player short, but even so the result could have been so different.

So, its all down to the last match of the season to see who will take the Premier Division wooden spoon. The Bravos or the Horned Ones. Does it get more exciting than this? Probably!!

Detail added by Roy from his weekly report: A good win for the second team in the premier at home against the third team. The Hounds started well with a win for Ted Stringer against Jock Jeffrey in his first game of the season in Mid-Sussex. The tide turned then for the home side as first Pete Hall’s 6K was too heavy for a battling Trevor Rees and Lorraine Hall’s effort beat Peter Burchell. A cracking fourth frame saw The Farmer beat Paul Goodwin by 110 points and with it the match. The best was left to last as a superb 10K from Rob Hall was an untouchable target for his opponent Geoff Fairs.

Plough 4, Bravos 1 according to Roy. Detail added by Roy from his weekly report: Plough put in a great job in the penultimate match of the season, fingers stretching out for the champion’s trophy. Richard Todd kicked off with his best score of this season, a 7K in his defeat of Nikki Bateup and was followed by Chase Newman taking a much closer game from Spud Spurrier. Not sure what happened in the next apart from it was a win for Paul M-R taken from Dave Knight which was to prove to be Bravos’ only point. A 7K from Jan Bithell was too much for Bravo and the match belonged to the home side. Darren Newnham then put in a season’s best of 9K to defeat Lynne M-R.
