Hi Everybody Well it is the last week of the season, where does the time go hwne you are having so much fun Here are the matches to be played Wednesday 17th April, scorecards will follow later To retain their title Stout House Z's have to win 5 - 0 at Roffey, a tough task. Mind you it could be a little tense if they win the first two or three games If they loose against Roffey, and the Railway have a good result against Springbok, Railway could finish Runner's Up, the Z's need two points against Roffey Promotion from the 2nd Division is decided with The Mill House being Champions, with the Nomads finishing Runners-Up, both will be promoted. The Blue Ship are relegated, with one of The Three Bees, Limeburners, or Southwater SC joining them. Good Luck JT
ROFFEY SSC v STOUT HOUSE 'Z' (Postponed, being played Wednesday 1st May) RAILWAY v SPRINGBOK CLUB SOUTHWATER SC v ALFOLD SC BLUE SHIP v DUN HORSE STOUT HOUSE ‘A’ v THE THREE BEES LIMEBURNERS v BLUE SHIP (NOMADS)
Oh JT you make me smile, its not if, its a matter of when the Railway have a good result against us, though as ever we will try our best to throw a spanner into the works. ;)

Gawd I hope so, the fines for the curry fund for knocking down the pegs over the last two seasons are mounting and a real feast to be had. We have to win a game before we can claim it, carry on as we are and we are likely to be able afford a flight to India to pick one up. ;D

Blue Ship 2 Dun Horse 3
Mick Johnson 2560 Scott Hope 2610 James Childs 2590 Colin Bolton 2190 Ding Johnson 2180 Stuart Hope 4310 Steve Holden 2270 Grant Hope 1470 Simon Bailey 2020 Dave Simmons 6870
Game 1: Reasonable start from both players. Mick pegged 1k+ towards the end. Game 2: Very friendly game. Porgie won it on the last ball. Game 3: Close start before Pops pulled ahead, despite the scoreboard falling off the wall mid game. Game 4: Grant off early, Steve took control. Game 5: Good start from Dave which Simon matched. Dave made safe with a 3k+ towards the end.
A very enjoyable evening at the Blue Ship tonight as The Dun team find some form too late to make any difference. Some seriously tasty sausage sarnies to finish.

Railway 5 Springbok SC 0
M Cork 3400 B Hicks 1110
A fairly even match until near the end when Mike put together a break of 2K to leave too much for Bill to do.
A Kuzimski 5610 K Nixon 970
A couple of high breaks from Skippy did the damage here, Ken just could not get going.
M Clack 5120 A Goacher 270
Clacky in control all the way, though Alice played some fine shots worthy of any seasoned player.
N Worsfold 5870 G Jarrett 1240
A couple of 2K breaks from Nigel knocked the stuffing out of Graham, who was play well himself.
M Davies 3570 T Goacher 1600
Mark was never at any risk from me, I just could not get the break back and if I had would have missed it anyway ::)
A great night as ever at the Railway, with the lads in buoyant mood. Well done to them, they sit second at the moment and a well deserved position.
Chili Con Carni and Rice as well as the usual sarnies and savories, we were well spoilt.

Title Decider went the way of the home team 3-2 So Roffey are Champs and Zeds just scrape runners up by half a point This match was played in a relaxed atmosphere considering what was at stake. All players as they came to the table were introduced Darts-style, the most memorable musical intros being “Jim’ll Fix It” “Rabbit, Rabbit”, “Hoots mon, there’s a Moose in the hoose” and “Steptoe and Son”. I’ll let the viewer work out which players they were aimed at !
