King Richard II (aged 14) had already been King for 4 years, and an angry mob, led by Wat Tyler had gathered at the city walls to protest against a third levy of Poll Tax. Wat attacked the armoured lord mayor of London and got fatally stabbed himself. The king rode forward and impressed the crowd with "you shall have no other captain but me" and a gave his word to accede to their demands. He later reneged on his promise, claiming it had been extorted from him under duress. correct for 1pt. 4 Edward VIII? I'm sure he was a pilot in the First World War and was The Prince Of Wales 6 was it Son In Law 4. Although technically not the correct answer to the question, Edward VIII was indeed the first monarch to be a qualified pilot: Edward created The King's Flight (now known as 32 (The Royal) Squadron) in 1936 to provide air transport for the Royal family's official duties. 1pt. 6 correct for 1pt
