Two of our pubs were taken over this week and I'm very pleased to say that we have received assurances that the tables are staying in situ.
Joe and Martin have moved on to other ventures and the new chap (Guy?) seems very keen on pub sports.
Lynne and Dean at the Lamb & Flag have leased the pub to an experienced landlord/chef and again I got very positive feedback from Dean that the table would remain as long as he owned the pub! I told him that it was probably one of the longest uninterrupted tenures of a bar billiard table in the country (1940s) and that I would try and research the exact date through old Secretaries minute books etc. Anyone know of any older?
So overall, good news for our little league.
cheers Tony
