Dun Horse table not available on 14th August, John......prior booking for 4-Pin (Dun Horse A v Mill House) !
We could I suppose, by arrangement, shift that one forward a day but it will be up to Ian G to decide.

Yes that would be ok with us and good for the venue.
But that then leads me to think that you didn't expect us to make the semi finals Tommo Blubbering

But that then leads me to think that you didn't expect us to make the semi finals Tommo Blubbering Yes we'll see you on the day before, then, the Tuesday, so long as it's okay with Mick (we all meet up in two days time so will discuss it then). Re the original allocation of the date, yes a potential clash of dates was on the cards, and the same for the Malt Shovel (= Holbrook Club in another guise). I did not see the harm, Wed or Tues for the last match what's the difference, and it would have given you a game on the Wed to compensate for the disappointment should you have got knocked out of the Jubilee competition. There was no insult intended. tommo

No Insult was felt just a bit of mild humour Happy
I will finalise with my side on Wednesday and can let the Dun Horse & BBW know.

Stout House table update...
I saw it on Saturday night & the back right hand 30 hole has sunk 4-5mm into the slate & the cloth is splitting. It doesn't affect play, The Landlord is now aware & hopefully Tarratt will know ASAP.

A case of "bad cementing" underneath then. Some special Sav "dental cream" needed.

A case of "bad cementing" underneath then. Some special Sav "dental cream" needed. Yup the dental casting powder works well! Damage just as likely to be vandalism! Not all companies do cement the cups in, some use felt nails around the base of the cup . Sav

Most of the table damage we have suffered has been by unsupervised kids, I include that! We have now had ALL the numbers picked off the front of our second prized Jelkes table Very . Sav

Tiny bits of boiled egg-type substance on the balls as they come back through the channels are symptomatic of the slightly sunken pocket:
We noticed it with the Fountain table which had been borrowed for the 31's day at Roffey.....Micky Fairs, Moose and myself lifted the top up and sure enough the right hand 30 pocket's cement was disentigrating.
