I have just edited the official Bar Billiards page on Wikipedia. This is the lsit of World Champions/Runners up as I found it today, obviously the Kipling crowd have been playing I wonder how long it has been like that? but it is now correct.

Anyone wanting to see the original... the Facebook page hasn't done its update yet (it gets its info from Wiki) so the Northants dream still lives on in Facebook land

I would like to add that I did not condone the editing of Wikipedia (although I was made aware that it had been done!).
I heard it was the result of long journey back from Reading!!
Those kids, eh?!!

It was Peter Webb from Guernsey in 1985 who was runner up not Paul Webb. Remember following his progress all the way to the final that year at The Inn on the Park Peter is still signed for Baulkliners with Trevor. This has been a mistake for a long time ! Julian Webb his son is a reserve for Layabouts.

........also, wouldn't it be better for Paul Sainsbury to be 'Berkshire' rather than 'Reading' and for Phil Collins to be 'Oxon' rather than 'Cholsey' ? Just from the aesthetic point of view ?

Not criticizing, Q, in fact we have you to thank for spotting the rather mischievous transgression....
