Dont forget that Strictly is on Friday as well this week Ooh yes, the drawing of partners and initial rehearsals..... They always seem to have a good choice of competitors covering a wide spectrum: There's "dad favourites" Susanna Reid, Rachel Riley and Sophie Ellis-Bextor; "mature dolly bird" Fiona Fullerton and Crouchie's wife Abbey Clancey; and it will be interesting to see how Tony Jacklin, Vanessa Feltz, Mark Benton and "Hairy Biker" Dave Myers shape up !

The drawing of partners was Saterday before last Clive If that's the case we'll be giving tomorrow a miss: two hours and 25 minutes of it a bit much for the first week......

Strictly Come Dancing New Series*****if you don't want to know the results, look away now !*****Decided to bite the bullet, and there were some defining moments........Mark Benton looked like he was born for this, whilst poor old Tony Jacklin lumbered about - he will be first off ! And Susanna Reid did a brilliant jive and showed off an amazing figure for a mother of three kids.

*****if you don't want to know the results, look away now !*****Forgot to mention that Susanna Reid did a cartwheel back to her sofa - which the judges claimed went wrong. And Tony Jacklin's dancing was described as 'a cross between a Galapagos tortoise and the Hunchback of Notre Dame'. Highlights from last night...... - Patrick Robinson - light on his feet for a geezer about to turn 50.
- Abbey Clancey - sweetheart of the nation.
- Dave Myers "Moving Like Jagger" - he thought he'd done really well and looked crestfallen when the critics were very severe
The Telegraph's assesment: "Bruno Tonioli’s yelled innuendoes deserved a post-watershed outing. Host Sir Bruce Forsyth fluffed a few lines and trotted out groan-worthy gags. His co-presenter Tess Daly affectionately indulged the old stager. Head judge Len Goodman was geezerish, mother hen Darcey Bussell clucked encouragingly: Strictly business as usual."

After the showdances it's looking like a straight fight between Susannah and Sophie in the dance-off - and between Abbey and Natalie for the title.

Sophie's gone.
Susannah's upped her game with an awesome Paso Doble.
A little disappointed with Abbey's quickstep - hope she hasn't blown it.....
Natalie's American Smoothie has just clinched it, methinks.
