Congratulations to Denise Wills and Gary Powell who won the Mixed Pairs at Reading today, beating Sho Nicholls and Curt Driver in the Final. Also a big well done to Gerry Fitzjohn who beat Chris Newson in the Final of the Over 50's Competition. Thanks as always to Dave Alder, Phil Hawkins, Ron & Eileen Britton and everybody else involved in the running of another very enjoyable day.  |

Please add Mark Dickerson, Shaun Thomson and Harry York to the Under 25's, which should take the number up to 8 which is a bit better!

Sorry for the delay in writing. I must echo Dave's thanks to everyone involved in running the competition last Sunday. It is appreciated and we must never take the hard work done by others for granted. Without Dave, Phil, Ron and Eileen we wouldn't have had such a great tournament. My personal apologies for not being able to help dismantle the tables as sadly British Rail waits for no man! (Made it with a minute to spare). Finally, I would like to publicly thank Denise, she played so well throughout the day and helped me enjoy my first tournament success. Well done to Gerry as well, totally deserved, he played some good stuff and still managed to get us to the station in time. Cheers
