Great night at the Alfold Club for us, wonderful spread laid on by Garry F. Garry Fishburn 3900, Mick 3130 (a nice break from Garry at the end to take it)Robin Burgess 3950, Barry 5550 (Barry established himself early on with 3k and kept adding)Dave Slater 460, Graham 10860 (the Superstar back to his best, not giving Dave a chance)The Major BP, Alan 7300 (good grappling from the Major eatly on in the game until Alan pulled clear)The Minor 3400, tommo 5820 (tommo given a scare here, Cliff dominated the last phase of the game)Alfold SC 1, Mill House 4 Nice bunch of lads. Oh yes and the food, a brilliant choice of fare, special mention for the marmite swirls and the pickled onions: sleepin on the roof tonight !

Limeburners 4 - 1 The Railway
Chip 7030 - 2400 Sniffer Mark.D 2960 - 8600 Mick Billy 6060 - 1040 Nigel Brian 2810 - 2700 Mark (Mark sunk a 200 with penultimate ball to draw level then just missed 100 - Brian got it 1st time) Ricky 9980 - 2020 Skippy
The dizzy heights of top of the league gave us a nose bleed & ultimately crashing down to reality... Well Done to the Burners & thanks for the lovely sarnies, 'chips with potato in them' & Billy's banging chilli onions!

Blue Ship 5 Springbok Club 0
James Child 2140 Graham Jarrett 1110 Graham started slowly and James took advantage, both players scored and lost along the way, but James just had the edge.
Steve Holden 4100 Bill Hicks 2600 A nice even game this until Steve posted a decent score to nose in front. Bill found the break a challenge but amassed points from some very decent play.
Simon Bailey 2730 Alice Goacher 1370 What can I say? Alice was simply superb tonight, played some stunning shots and took the lead for quite a while. Simon needed a decent break at the end to claim the point, but boy he did sweat.
Mick Johnson 5490 Trevor Goacher 2130 No trouble with the break, other than I found it 4 times. Mick took full advantage posting 2K, followed by 3K. I eventually got the balls back and tried my best, but time was a factor.
Ding Johnson 3170 Gary Marshall 2540 A close game with Gary taking the early lead. Ding's experience was there to be seen and she held her nerve to put a break together to take the final point.
No complaints, the table played very well, great food from Simon, and a great social night all round. Thnaks

..... another great quote from The Thayre! "what are you doing?" Rival quote of the week from the same evening: Margo out of car window to cyclist who appeared out of nowhere across tommo's bows at a dimly-lit roundabout causing an emergency stop, missing him by about an inch: "Get some lights you f*cking maniac !!!"
