BRAVOS:1 HASSOCKS:4
Bravo:1250 Ted:4270 Lynne: 1410 Derek:4270 Nikki:BP Jen:1910 Paul:2440 Pete:2850 Spud:4280 Dilly:1820
Not to be for the Bravos but good fun and hospitality.
Point of (semi) interest: on my opening break I had played a shot on a ball over the 50. Object ball dropped before contact and cue ball went VERY near a peg because of it. Break continued as per the rules but what happens if I had hit the peg? Clarification anyone?

Break continued as per the rules but what happens if I had hit the peg? Clarification anyone? All-England Playing Rule 20: 20. If a player plays at a ball on the lip of a hole and the ball falls before the cue ball reaches it, no penalty will be incurred and the player will continue with his break, except for any penalty incurred before the cue ball reaches the position previously occupied by the object ball.
So, if you carry on past it and take out a peg or sink the cueball without hitting another ball: no penalty ! That's my understanding of it - others may disagree of course !

HHUSC B 2, Horns Lodge 3 at St Francis
Marion 1010, Kev 1540 Giff 2140, Tufty 2090 Paul 4520, Pete 790 Darrell 2370, Dave 4310 Steve 1250, Fen 1560
Some really close games made for a very exciting and enjoyable evening. It all hinged on the decider: Steve took the first break but unfortunately pegged it. Fen put a few hundred on the board from her break and managed to just keep ahead to clinch the win.
Also, as I'm knew to this skippering lark, could someone let me know who I post the result sheet to. I've left a message with Lorraine with the result but not the scores.

Hi Dave, Well done on your win. If you are new to the skippering lark you will need to acquaint yourself with the delights of the Mid Sussex website. Page 4 (link given below) shows the fixture list, rules etc and guidance on how to log your results: www.mid-sussexbbl.co.uk/page4.htmlFor the case in question, Team Cup, you are right to notify Lorraine as it counts as a Competition, but Roy Wells also likes to know the scores. Check out the page and you will see the eMail address you can use. If you want to know Roy's address for sending cards to you can PM me for it !

Good friendly evening with the Fish, some tight games and the match could have gone either way. Hurst table playing nicely - and although there were no huge breaks, I believe that the match set new ladies and men's away high scores.
