Mill House 3, Limeburners 2 Graham 2950, Dick the Dude 1760 Alan 1670, Bill Hammond 2590 Barry 1120, Chip Sawyer 5630 tommo 4670, Brian Goodchild 3800 Johnny w/o A lucky win for the home team, but a good evening: The younger Dude found himself stranded at Rottingdean with road works delays at A27/A23 junction and couldn't make it back in time to play the last game: table wouldn't have suited him anyway - a bit slow on the night and not at its best. So the fourth game proved to be the decider and Brian ran me really close. In fact the Limeburners fought valiantly, Dick only losing with a peg at the end which gave Graham the break back, and Billy and Chippy both had good games. Many thanks to Billy for bringing along his patent potent pickled onions, complemented well by a good assortment of cheese sandwiches from the Mill House: No leftovers for once !

Springbok Club 2 White Hart 3
M. Edwards 2590 D. Sands 1410
Dave could not find the break allowing Mike in who managed a modest break to nose in front. As much as Dave tried with some great shots he was unable to get he break back, and Mike continued in a steady fashion to take the point.
G. Marshall 7410 P. Barnett 2590 This was a close game regardless of the score line, it was just that young Gary got more table time. Barney's early mistake let Gary in who put together a few 1K breaks followed with a game winning 3K+. Barney also had a decent break and with no doubt had he had more time could have reversed this result.
(G Marshall 3010 break)
T. Goacher 720 C. Barrow 2950 Simply I blew it, Sparrow let me in early and I cocked up. Sparrow remained steady whilst I floundered.
G. Jarrett 1420 J. Thayre 4360 A case of the master and his apprentice. John as ever was solid, but Graham did not let himself down, both played well, but experience shone through in this game.
B. Hicks 1740 H. Fowler 3200 The match clincher!! Hugh started well on the break putting a decent score up. Bill came back at him and was unlucky not to get more from the game. Hugh played a very level headed game to stay in control, but all could have been different had Bill not lost nearly 2K.
Are we gutted, not on your Nelly. To get 2 points from such a solid team shows how far we have come. As ever the White Hart lads were great with their encouragement and we had a fair few laughs. Yes there was a few beads of sweat on their brows for a while, but hey they have seen it all before.

Mark 1290 Tony F 1780 another scrappy game nothing went for Mark and Tony F showed enough to keep in front Mick 6120 Mel 500 Mel cleared the table for me to get the break back, thanks mate! Nigel 2930 Ray 2260 Ray started really well but Nigel pulled it back at the end Adam 2660 Keith 3000 Adam started well but Keith (obstinate) Newman won the game with his last visit

Dun Horse 3 Blue Ship 2
Dave Simmons 4890 Mick Johnson 0 Scott Hope 3090 Ding Johnson 1740 Stuart Hope 2410 Steve Holden 3070 Grant Hope 2440 James Childs 4570 Colin Bolton 2200 Simon Bailey 1120
Game 1: Mick not settling let Dave in early to take the lead. Mick toppled the Black towards the end. Game 2: Ding led early on with Scott throwing away two reasonable breaks. Scott got going eventually. Game 3: Close game, Steve pulled enough ahead towards the end. Game 4: Close game with Porgie making the most of plenty of double kisses. Game 5: Two frames each going into the last game. Neither player looking particularly settled. Colin managed to hold more than Simon.
Fun evening with the Blue Ship as always. Table a bit tricky tonight, caught everyone out on some of the 'easy' shots.
