I learned tonight at 10.00 pm that Kevin Pringle died of a massive heart attack at about 6.00 pm, if, or as I get more news I will post it here. I wish to be the first to send my condolences to his family and friends.
regards

That is terrible news and especially sad for the Forum as he was one of its pioneers, and helped many people with his vast computer knowledge. We will be all the poorer without him.
He was 53 for heaven's sake, that's no age at all.
Our thoughts to his family and to his new lady with whom he was settling down out west.

Good grief!!!
What terrible news.
I shall miss the bugger, he always rose to the bait when he played for us last year.
Not everyone's cup of tea on this forum, but a sincere, helpful and knowledgable man.
What a way to avoid buying his round again!!
I'll miss you m8!!
Sav.

I only got to know Kev through this forum, and I only ever met him twice.... BUT... I considered him a good friend, he was honest , straightforward and said what he thought, offend or please. and very, very helpful. My sort of bloke. A VERY, LOSS. My thoughts go to his family & friends.

What a shock to hear this, I played Kevin on numerous occasions & he was always hard to beat. We also played in the same team for one or two seasons at the Bell in Headington.
Kevin was a good friend to Richard & I'm sure he must be devastated, like we all are.
My condolences to his mum, family & lady friend.
Keith. :(

He became a friend to me through this forum and later became an even better friend, along with others, when I needed them............which I will never forget.
Much as others have said, he spoke his mind perhaps too bluntly sometimes but was honest about it, he was extremely helpful to anyone that wanted it (I received the usual friendly helpful email reply to a computer query just last week), and I regret not getting to know him better.
Good bye m8, I shall miss you. Graham

This is sad news. He was a decent bloke, and was extremely welcome during the couple of years he played in the Dover & Deal league.

That is tragic news indeed, I met Kevin on several occasions when the KBBA held the annual interleague tournaments, and KBBA knockout days in the Dover & Deal area. Indeed, I had the honour, and pleasure of being his playing partner in the pairs competition one year. Kevin, you always were polite, and generous with your knowledge, and friendship, and quick witted, and funny. I will miss you old friend, but knowing that you have joined a great team of players makes the pain of the loss a little easier, but not much. My sympathies, and condolences go to all of Kevin's friends, and family at this, the saddest of times.

Shocked at this sad news.
I knew him through the forum and he was a truely nice person. Though I only met him once, he has been a huge help to me, plus use to chat loads via msn, nice friendly guy.
He will be missed loads. I am shocked at the age of 53, just never know I guess.
Miss you loads Kevin :( :'(
My condolences to his family.

I did respond on the Wallingford posting but will add to this one that I am very saddened by this shocking news. A friendly man when met in person, and very helpful man on this forum.
My condolences to his family.

Kevin's family would like me to thank all the people who wrote about Kev in this thread, they say it's nice to see all the things wrote on here and it has helped to ease the stress on this occasion. Kev's funeral is to take place on Monday 5th November at 11am, at Ewetree Break Speech House Road Cinderford. Gloucestershire GL14 3HU. I will be attending with my wife and an old friend of Kev's, Phil Clark. Anyone wanting the address to send cards to, please pm me as I do not wish to make their address public. thank you, regards Richard.
