Plough 1, Mill House 4
Keith Potter 2500, Margo 750 Kieron Budd 920, tommo 2670 Geoff Parsons 1200, Tony 5220 Mark Webber 3060, Dave 4310 Steve Vizor 1580, Mick 3180
Some good games, match not as one-sided as the scores might suggest. Bar went a bit early in the fourth game just as Dave was beginning to look a bit anxious. Top-notch grub as always at the Plough - sausage, bacon or egg sandwiches, and then out came cheese on toast and some of Geoff's potent picled onions ! Enjoyable evening and a Merry Christmas to all from the Mill House team.

I suppose in Sk1ppy's absence I had better provide a match report for the Stout House Derby
The Mighty A team did score more points, but lost the match 2 - 3
Junkie 5,140 Your's Truly 3,710 I was well in control 2k in front, until the last break of the game when Junkie scored 3k and my lead disappeared into the sunset DAMN
Ricky 5,180 Keith 4,130 Very similar, with Keith holding a 2k lead only to see Ricky's 4k final break win the match DAMN DAMN
Rick 1,080 Gordon 6,260 A 4k break towards the end of the game sealed Gordon's win
Vernon 3,480 Twiggy 7,860 Vernon was 1k in the lead, but Twiggy's 6.5k break won the game to square the match. Twiggy only stopped at 6.5k because his team were loudly discussing a town near Manchester called "Hold Them"
Dick 7,170 Glyn 3,770 Midway through the game Glyn had a small lead, but Dick did a skillful shot by potting the last ball into the 100 hole, using two pockets and the back cushion to do so. DAMN DAMN DAMN. After that he had no problems to win the game and the match
So an excellent evening was had by all, Bar Billiards as it should be with all the games being close
Best wishes
JT
