Dun Horse 2 The Mill 3
Grant Hope 3240 Graham Daniels 3900 Scott Hope 3610 Barry Timson 1110 Stuart Hope 1650 Clive Thompson 4950 Dave Simmons 3560 Mick Holmwood 3050 Colin Bolton 700 Alan Downs 8650 Game 1: SuperG set up an early lead, Grant managed to get his nose in front with a 2k midway but a 1k at the close clinched it for Graham. Game 2: Scott set himself up with a couple of 1k's early on, nothing much going for Barry. Game 3: An early 3K from Tommo, Pops struggled. Game 4: Mr Mike off early allowed Dave to open up a sizeable lead. Mr Mike got a break going at the end but ran out of time. Game 5: Alan had obviously been watching the other four games, opened up with around 4k. Nothing much for Colin.
A pleasant evening rounded off with some very tasty beef and ham sandwiches.

Springbok SC 1 Stout House Z 4
M Edwards 760 J Miller 2540 A steady game from Junkie, even though he could not find the break. Mike kept on his tail and is improving each week.
B Hicks 1720 A Finn 3970 Dorsal sussed the split straight away and built a good lead. Bill had his opportunities but left the balls up short.
T Goacher 1210 V Sparkes 4850 Vernon also in charge from the off, finding the break, I had several opportunities but could not sort out my own table!!!!
G Marshall 5330 R Plaw 2080 Rick had his chances, but Gary's confidence continues to grow and on his own table is becoming quite formidable. A great game to watch.
M Miles 1310 Richard 3340 Again Richard started well to push ahead. Malcolm playing his first game for over a year, still had some nice touches and with more practice will soon be back in the swing.
As ever a fun night with our friends from the Stout House, we even had Dorsal smiling owing to the beer we serve. Talks to himself now mind!!! must be his age.

Stout House A 2, Railway 3
Late posting, apologies!!
A good match, some close games but the Railway prevailed!
Pete T 1160, Adam 8210 Master class by Adam, no luck for Pete
Pete H 2890, Ray 2290 Close game, lots of nip & tuck, the left-hand 50 seemingly closed up at some point, Pete in when the bar dropped.
Tidy 2320, Nigel 3910 Despite Nigel admitting to not being confident of the break, it didn't show!
Tony 1260, Mick 5690 No luck for Tony, Mick playing solidly despite the curvature of the table!
Sam 3920, Mark 1150 Mark started with a few hundred but Sam got on & played a confident game on the home table, a 1k+ followed by a 2k+. Deserved win!
Pete
