Pete Farrelly wishes it to be known that his dear wife Peggy continued to go downhill yesterday and she died just after 1 a.m. this morning.
It was a happy release from the obvious pain she had been suffering, especially since Friday.
She found many friends through bar billiards who can only find out this dreadful news in this way, through the Forum.
Pete has asked if anyone intended to phone him, not to do so for the next day or so, and he will report the funeral arrangements in due course.

Peter,
I am so sorry to hear of the sad loss of Peggy. I considered you and Peggy friends of mine, and always enjoyed a chat to both of you at the opens, especially when you were running the BBQ. My thoughts and sincere condolences are with you, and your family at this, the saddest of times.

Pete I know that we have not met yet !! But I would like to express my deepest sympathy because I do know that you & Peggy were very close. I lost my Father in July & my parents were Married for 61 years so I do know how hard it is. I really hope that you can draw on the Love & support from your Family & friends around you. Pete,
All the best in these extremely hard times. As Harry said, we spoke at the weekend about their visits to your home and the infamous drop of the £1 note.
Keep looking on the positive side mate. Sean Secretary - JBBL

Have received the following details from Pete :
"The funeral has been arranged for Tuesday 6th November, the very day that we would have been flying to Jersey for our annual pilgrimage. Whether my “carers” and I decide to travel later in the week has yet to be determined, but may be on the cards as a “tribute” to Peggy. If we do, I hope the island can hold enough Bacardi, especially if Jean Over/Brackenridge is in the draw aswell. I may challenge her to a competition!
Any friends would be more than welcome to attend (the funeral, not the competition!!!!). It is scheduled for 10.30 am at the Salvation Army Citadel in Church Street, Rushden, followed by interment at Rushden Cemetery and a celebration of her life at the St John Ambulance Rooms in Fitzwilliam Street. Plenty of nearby pubs afterwards!
My trio of daughters has asked everyone to wear or carry something pink in honour of Peggy who had supported the various Breast Cancer charities since her first battle in 1993. They have also decided that only want wreaths from the close family and everyone else bring a single flower of any description which can be thrown into the grave at the cemetery. Any other donations (large or small) for the Crazy Hats Breast Cancer Appeal, if required, can be sent to Abbotts Funeral Directors, Bedford Road, Rushden, Northants.
Thank you for all the messages so far."
