And here are my thoughts on these games.... Black Horse v Plough (Plough have a start of 2,200 in 3 games of their choice) The Plough are on a good run of form having scattered their opponets in the last 4 matches.... meanwhile the Horse have been stuck in the stable losing their last 5 games running.... a 3-2 away win looks possible. Ye Olde Black Horse v Hassocks Hotel (Hassocks have a start of 2,100 in 3 games of their choice) The "other" Horse gained their first win last week and will be looking to maintain that form, much will depend on the draw and how the visitors use their jokers.... a close 3-2 home win perhaps? Laughing Fish v Star Eastbourne (Star have a start of 4,400 in 3 games of their choice) Despite the handicaps, the Fish keep swimming at the top of the pond and this is probably a "must win" game for the visitors if they want to maintain their challenge.... it will be close but a 3-2 home win. Cock'n'Balls v Glynde Club (Cock have a start of 2,200 in 3 games of their choice) A tough match in prospect here with the home team unbeaten on their own table and the visitors are unbeaten away in this competition so far.... the draw and the jokers will probably decide this match so a 3-2 away win looks the best option, perhaps?

I think the 3-2 result is grossly more likely than 4-1 in general looks like BBW agrees The Plough will be on the straight and narrow being pulled forward by the black horse so 3-2 away win The rotters will be on a roll after last week's turn around in their fortunes while the hassocks hoard may find the rotters unpalatable with a 3-2 home win. The gigglers have enough depth not to worry about the handicap on their own top so the star will be in the dark matter going down to a 3-2 home win The further this comp goes on the harder to predict the results, but will have to promote my own team so a 3-2 away win Ps oh no I'm starting to think like warrior.....

Black Horse not really got up a canter in this competition and the Plough is shining bright in the sky so a 3-2 away win.
Ye Old Black Horse threw of the harness last week and bolted to a 4-1 win and although Has socks will try to keep them pulled up I predict a 3-2 home win
Laughing Fish continue to astound themselves overcoming the handicap, and the Star is dimming in the sky so a 3-2 home win.
Cock and Balls have a good home record and fully expect this to continue, although Glynde will not go down easily so a 3-2 home win.

Time to do some marking, let's start with the current Tipsters leader... Black Horse not really got up a canter in this competition and the Plough is shining bright in the sky so a 3-2 away win. A 5-0 away win for the Plough means just 1 point here. Ye Old Black Horse threw of the harness last week and bolted to a 4-1 win and although Has socks will try to keep them pulled up I predict a 3-2 home win The Hassocks 4-1 away win means no points here. Laughing Fish continue to astound themselves overcoming the handicap, and the Star is dimming in the sky so a 3-2 home win. The visitors clearly followed the wrong star and struggled to even find the venue... 2 points for a correct result here. Cock and Balls have a good home record and fully expect this to continue, although Glynde will not go down easily so a 3-2 home win. The Glynde maintained their title challenge with a 3-2 away win, no points here. BigTJ - 3 points this week.

Little Legs next.... A surprise 5-0 away win means no points here. Ye Olde Black Horse 2 Hassocks 3 1 point for correctly predicting the away win. The Fish managed to overcome the handicap with a 3-2 home win.... no points here. Correct for 2 good points. Little Legs - 3 points

Gandalf next..... who nearly gained a bonus point for spotting the logic that I had used this week.... I think the 3-2 result is grossly more likely than 4-1 in general looks like BBW agrees .... but then blew his bonus at the end.... Ps oh no I'm starting to think like warrior..... Now, to the actual games.... The Plough will be on the straight and narrow being pulled forward by the black horse so 3-2 away win A 5-0 away win means just the 1 point here. The rotters will be on a roll after last week's turn around in their fortunes while the hassocks hoard may find the rotters unpalatable with a 3-2 home win. Another tipster caught out by the Hassocks 4-1 away win.... no points here. The gigglers have enough depth not to worry about the handicap on their own top so the star will be in the dark matter going down to a 3-2 home win Certainly it would be fair to say that the Star lost their way last night.... .... 2 points for a correct prediction. The further this comp goes on the harder to predict the results, but will have to promote my own team so a 3-2 away win And you were quite right to do so.... 2 more points here. 5 points for Gandalf this week.

Lastly me.... The Plough certainly continued their good run with a 5-0 away win giving me 1 point. A 4-1 away win means no points for me this week. The challenge from the Star has been dimmed.... 2 points for a correct tip. The visitors retained their unbeaten away record.... and earned me 2 points as well. 5 points for me this week.

Just time to add one more bonus point for Tommo.... As a former altar boy I have to kneel down before you on that one ! A worrying thought for BigTJ though I am sure.... Gandalf's haul of 5 points this week moves him up to the top of the Tipsters League.... 1. Gandalf the Untidy - 26.5 points 2. BigTJ - 26 points 3. Little Legs - 25 points 4. BB Warrior - 24.5 points 5= Derek Taylor - 2 points 5= Tengu - 2 points 7. Tommo - 1 point We now have a break for a few weeks as we return to the League and Knock Out Cup matches, but the Tipsters thread will return when we resume the League Cup games.... thanks for joining in guys.

The Plough have now moved up to 2nd spot and with Ros and Trevor in the line up its probably worth a pint on whether they have the tackle to catch the fish. Regs cs

Regs cs It looks like Gandalf is trying to bait a few of the Fish players now in a bid to help the Plough reel them in when the League Cup gets under way again in a few weeks time... hopefully the Plough team will be at full strength that night and we can look forward to an enjoyable and close match.

It was an interesting comment that Derek made about swotting as history would prove that it has been a very long time since the Hassocks team (previously CKRBL) actually beat the Ye Olde Black Horse (previously the Bridge) in either the League or the League Cup.... I think that the last time was in 2007/8 Season, so perhaps swotting wouldn't have helped us very much anyway on this occasion!
