Just to remind Barney and his crew of where to go to next week :Hi Everybody As most of you already know, the Mill House closed on New Years Eve The team have now moved to The Windmill at Gossops Green, a venue that used to be in HBBL and wish to be known as “The Mill” The Windmill’s address is Gossops Drive, Gossops Green, Crawley, West Sussex, RH11 8HQ and their phone number is 01293 526289 Clive has also kindly supplied directions approaching Crawley from Horsham on the A264 - Straight on at 1st 3 roundabouts (Sullivan Drive, Breezehurst Drive and Bewbush Drive lead off to the left). - But turn left (Buckswood Drive) just before the big roundabout (before Squires Garden Centre). - Up the hill and keep going until you reach the end of Buckswood Drive. - Gossops Green shopping precinct is to the right and you will see the building which looks like a windmill without the sails ! Should be plenty of parking available. If you happen to miss the Buckswood Drive turning and reach the garden centre, filter left and simply turn into Gossops Green at the next junction. Straight on will lead you to the pub from the other direction. Best Wishes JT

The Mill 2, White Hart 3 The 2nd Div leaders do the double over the 1st Div leaders ! Johnny 1530, Barney 5880 Barry 3060, Ricky 4100 tommo 7870, Dave 2110 Graham 4870, Sparrow 1760 Alan 2390, John Thayre 5710 Table super-fast tonight which offered chances to both sides......all of the first four frames could have gone either way. Colin was especially unlucky in losing a 3k break. A masterful performance from JT in the last game (opened with a 5k break and Alan made a good go of it before eventually running out of time). A pleasant evening spent in good company. Get well soon MrMike: looked in pain last week and absent tonight with a back problem.

Railway 3 Three Bs 2 Clacky 5,700 Mike 850 Nice 5K break from Mick made the game safe.
Mark 2,930 Steve 3,400 Steve put break down 4X to let Mark in for an early 2K, Mark unlucky to peg out when going well Steve played well at the end to pinch it.
Nigel 1,320 John 2,210 John played steady, Nigel just couldn't get going.
Sniffer 2,790 Lin 460 Lin also put the break down 4X to let Sniffer in.
Skippy 4,040 Dave 1,160 Good game from Adam, played better than the score suggests, Dave threatened but didn't get going.
When Steve walked in the pub wearing a deer stalker I thought he looked like Bendict Cumberbatch.
Lovely food from Stella

When Steve walked in the pub wearing a deer stalker I thought he looked like Bendict Cumberbatch. .....and am I alone in thinking that Dave is the spitting image of 'Singing in the Rain' Gene Kelly ?

The Mill 2, White Hart 3 The 2nd Div leaders do the double over the 1st Div leaders ! [/i][/quote] With Roffey winning Hawaii 5-0 maybe The Mill were leaders at time of press but now the League is lead by the Peggy Sue Gang!

The Stout will definitely have an influence on where the title goes.......the Zeds have invoked their usual plan of holding a game in hand back to the end of the season. Meanwhile the Mill are not expecting a very big yield from next week's match with the table in its current state. * * I'm looking here for Messrs Kelly and Cumberbatch to work their magic on it beforehand (Pretty Please).

Springbok Club 2 Dun Horse 3
M.Edwards 1230 K.Etheridge 1550
A tough fought game, with the balls in horrible positions for a lot of it. Mike led for a long time but Keith did well to get his nose in front and clear the balls after the bar dropped.
M.Miles 650 Stuart Hope 3580
A good game this one with some rotten luck for Malcolm, losing at least three times what he scored. Stuart played very well however and kept building his score with some steady breaks.
G.Marshall 4290 C.Bolton 2000
Unfortunately Colin left the break short which seemed to be the story of the night for the dun horse boys. I took advantage and got a handy 2800 break, Colin was unlucky throughout the rest of the game and it could have been a lot closer. But showed his class by nailing the 200 at the end.
T.Goacher 2640 Scott Hope 1050
One of those oh no moments we all hate! Scott going for the hundred off the back cushion with a bit too much pace and unfortunately toppling the black when Trevor was only about 600 in front. Hard for Scott to get back into it after that with some steady scoring from scubafrog.
B.Hicks 1750 G.Hope 2360
Another close game with both players getting plenty of table time. Grant struggling with the break and Bill struggling to get the break back. Grant just showing that little bit more class under pressure.
Well played to the Dun Horse, especially on a recently moved, quirky table. Had a great night with plenty of banter.
Scubafrog is away in Lanzagrottie today, so this is my first post meaning i am no longer a forum virgin. Enjoy.

Yawn.... here we go again, once again the zeds are portrayed as the bad guys, as Richard said it was not us who postponed the game. So one would suggest that before you paint us black you get your facts straight and stop stirring!!!!
Its a game not life threatening and we don't give a furry rodents sphincter who wins the title!!!

Yawn, here we go again indeed !
One week's billiards thread, a couple of match reports, mine complimenting a team of real gentlemen that we played.
Then: Clacky winds up the Three Bees (hilariously); Foxy has a dig at The Mill for losing top spot (it's been coming a long time !) Sk1ppy winds up the Stout House A ("can we play you every week ?") Tommo has a dig at the Zeds who he knows bite easily and uses a SMILEY to show it's not meant; Rich defends the Zeds honour putting Tommo right with a pointy tongue smiley; Tommo apologises with the true position now being known.
It's all intended to be a bit of harmless lighthearted fun. What we used to have before certain egos became so fragile.
