Ye Olde Black Horse 3 Laughing Fish 2 Kevin Stoner 520 - 12,250* Henry Brooks Henry opened with 6.7k and had the break back a few times after that, Kev found the black peg and nothing really went his way even though the bar failed to drop and the table went over 20 minutes. Jean Brackenridge 5,810* - 4,490 Ian Lelliott Both players had chances and had a couple of goes at the break before Jean made a decisive 4k break leaving Ian with not enough time to catch her with the bar dropping at just over 18 minutes. Marcus Chipman 4,200 - 600* Tony Jenner Tony off early and Marcus took an early lead, Tony then clipped the black peg trying to clear a ball up the middle and Marcus extended the lead and held on until the end with no luck for Tony. Kevin Hall 4,360* - 7,040 Bill Kerr Kev off early and the balls stayed at the back for a while, Bill then made a very steady 6k leaving Kev to finish off at the end. Nigel Senior 8,540 - 4,080* Dave Ingram I caught my first split shot too thick, Nigel got the break back but came off at 2.5k, I got the break back and made the same mistake again! Nigel took the chance to make a 5.5k break with me getting a few at the end. Enjoyable evening in very good company, a great spread of food and the home team gained a well deserved win.

Star 3 - 2 Glynde Club
Phil Osbourne 5160 v 2030 Chris Turner Tony Smith 4380 v 4180 Mike Daw Stewart Chant 260 v 9080 Colin Southouse Peter Payne 3720 v 1670 Sandy Harmer Dave White 1260 v 4080 Nigel Pead
Chris was off early on his nemesis table leaving Phil to make a 2k which was enough to take the game with Chris unable to deal with the star break. Mike opened with 2k and all was rosy in the Glynde camp but Tony played really well to make a steady 4k break, Mike to a while to get used to the Star tables foibles but was on the break at the death but the bar came to Tonys rescue to enable the Star to take an important game of the Match Colin opened with 6k leaving Stewart shell shocked..again Game over Peter played his normal trademark light fingered opening shot but kept on the table for about 1k, sandy had troubles all over the table and failed to get the break back, Peter would have won this game even if he had been cremated last week!! with Sandy unable to deal with the table it was like finger nails on a blackboard for him. Nigel opened with 1k and continued to make a few small breaks which was enough to thankfully take the last game and make the result a bit more respectable, Dave had similar troubles to Sandy
nice evening with plenty of laughs and Pizza
