Directions for tonight for the Major and his battalion in case they are in any doubt and are looking in:Hi Everybody As most of you already know, the Mill House closed on New Years Eve The team have now moved to The Windmill at Gossops Green, a venue that used to be in HBBL and wish to be known as “The Mill” The Windmill’s address is Gossops Drive, Gossops Green, Crawley, West Sussex, RH11 8HQ and their phone number is 01293 526289 Clive has also kindly supplied directions approaching Crawley from Horsham on the A264 - Straight on at 1st 3 roundabouts (Sullivan Drive, Breezehurst Drive and Bewbush Drive lead off to the left). - But turn left (Buckswood Drive) just before the big roundabout (before Squires Garden Centre). - Up the hill and keep going until you reach the end of Buckswood Drive. - Gossops Green shopping precinct is to the right and you will see the building which looks like a windmill without the sails ! Should be plenty of parking available. If you happen to miss the Buckswood Drive turning and reach the garden centre, filter left and simply turn into Gossops Green at the next junction. Straight on will lead you to the pub from the other direction. Best Wishes JT

Dun Horse 3 Stout House A 2
Colin Bolton 4290 Barry Lawson 1920 Grant Hope 3240 Sam Short 1840 Stuart Hope 850 Pete Hartley 3040 Scott Hope 480 Tony Clasby 3580 Dave Simmons 6230 John Tidy 930
Game 1: Barry off early let Colin in for 2k and more.... Game 2: Sam 1k up midway, Grant finished well Game 3: Steady game from Pete including a risky 200 off the side cushion. Nothing going for Pops. Game 4: 2k start for Tony, nothing going Scott's way - until the bar dropped! Game 5: Nothing went for JT in the decider, Dave made the most of it.
Fun evening with the A's as usual.

Springbok Club 3 Blue Ship 2 T Goacher 2920 D Johnson 2570 A close game with me not doing a thing for the most part of the game allowing Ding to take the initiative. Ding was unlucky with the break leaving it up short on a couple of occasions that allowed me to put in two decent breaks at the end to steal the game from her. B Hicks 1750 S Bailey 1250 (played 3rd) This was a scrappy game from both Bill and Simon, with neither of them really getting to grips with the table. The red got stuck on the bulk line early on, so Bill chipped away at the points to keep his nose in front. Simon came back valiantly at the end, but it was just too late. G Marshall 3360 A Maybee 3090 (played 2nd) Great to see Alan back and he has not lost his touch, the early stages saw Gary take the lead, but Alan came back well and had he sorted out the break more consistently would have put the young un to the sword. However, Gary stuck to it to take the point for the Springbok team. M Edwards 1400 M Johnson 3050 Mick J as expected took the early lead, leaving Mike to chase the game, though he tried valiantly to claw the points back Mike was no match for the experience of Mick. A Goacher 810 S Holden 3470 Steve took control early on giving Alice a massive task, however, she continues to improve and was unfortunate not to have ended the game with a lot more points. A great win, be it ugly, for the home team. As ever the Blue ship provided encouragement and were great sportsman . Evening ended with the usual sub rolls and nibbles.

Railway 1 Limeburners 4 Ray 1,080 Brian 1,600 Scrappy game, Brian doing enough to take the point. Skippy 2,520 Young Dude 3,280 Skippy kept on about wanting to play Ricky..always be careful what you wish for.. Nigel 5,660 Billy Onions 1,420 Billy plonked the break down 4X to start, Nigel never looked back from there. Mick 1,230 Max 2,940 Good game from Max, I was dreadful. Mark 1,430 Ken 2,040 Steady game from Ken, just kept accumulating points, just didn't happen for Mark.
So, the wheels have fallen off the Railway bandwagon, ho hum.
Good evening with the Burner boys, Billys onions were as good as always.

The Mill 3, Alfold SC 2 Barry 2120, the Major 3810 (the Major very steady and denied Barry the last visit that he craved)Mr Mike 5560, Robin 3020 (the lead kept changing hands, both putting each other under pressure until Mick nailed it with a good break at the end)Johnny Aceed 320, Garry 4470 (Garry finding all the best shots, whilst Johnny's game is HCl rather than H2SO4 at the moment !)SuperG 4170, Dave S 2370 (Dave played some brilliant shots but one too many errors let Graham in) tommo 12020, the Minor 840 (a 4k which I was lucky to hold and a 7990 after trying to come off for ages but they just kept going in !) Great bunch of lads, very complimentary about both our pub and the table, which the Major says is the fastest one he's ever played on. The away team line-up prior to the start of the match: (Alfold SC: Mal Greening, Garry Fishburn, Robin Burgess, Cliff Greening, Dave Slater)

Tommo plays down the Mill's league title chances following Stout House Z's latest 5-0 win: "The title race is between two horses (Roffey and the Zeds) and a little horse that needs milk and needs to learn how to jump. Maybe next season we can race."
