Limeburners 2, The Mill 3 (in order played) Brian Goodchild 3000, Mick 4620 (a late rally from Brian before Mick made sure) Dick Dewdney 3070, Graham 2920 (Graham 400 behind with the bar gone, and no red, played all the right shots but missed the last 100 which a grateful Dick potted) Bill Hammond BP, Barry 4410 (Barry has recently found his scoring shoes and Billy was soon in trouble) Chip Sawyer 3680, Alan 6790 (scores were even until Alan ran away with it, playing out time magnificently) Ricky Dewdney 7180, Clive 4300 (my opening 3700 was answered with 6k from Ricky, and after doing all the difficult work another weak shot let him in for a few more)
Table played well allowing some good play on both sides. A good sociable evening spent amongst friends with plenty of chit-chat, capped with sandwiches, chunky chips and Billy's onions, hotter than usual !

Blue Ship 3 Dun Horse 2
Ding Johnson 1880 Grant Hope 1560 Simon Bailey 210 Scott Hope 5040 Steve Holden 3140 Colin Bolton 1690 James Childs 3680 Dave Simmons 5070 Mick Johnson 3320 Stuart Hope 2230
Game 1: Neither Grant or Ding really settled thanks to the balls sticking in the 30 chute. a late flourish from Ding took it. Game 2:(Played 3rd) Simon was going well midway on about 2k5 when he miscued and took the Black out. Scott stepped in and mopped up. Game 3:(Played 2nd) Close most of the game, A couple of breaks from Steve towards the end enough. Game 4: Dave led from the start, Porgie nearly caught up midway prompting Dave to add another 1k. Game 5: Close game nearly all the way, a late 1k from Mick at the end snatched it.
A fun evening rounded off with Burgers and Hot Dogs.

Southwatr CC 2 Railway 3 T Franks 5580 Mark 1390 Good game from Tony, no big breaks but steady collection of points. Mark always up against it.
Keith Newman 2260 Skippy 4630 Good game from Adam and always seemed in control. But we all know Keith is a difficult opponent.
Melvin Blake 2860 Mick 3790 Mel had no luck to start with although I did present him with the break and he just let me in to pinch it at the end.
Tony (timeless) Temple 360 Nigel 9630 Very good game for Nigel, would have taken something really spacial to beat him on this form.
Ray Manser 3850 Sniffer 3670 Both players had chances and after Steve had a go at the last ball to win it Ray gratefully plonked it down the 100 hole to take the point.
A very pleasant evening spent with a very pleasant bunch of chaps. Nice sarnies to finish off.

White Hart 4 Springbok 1
Ricky 2110, Mike 780 Unlucky for Mike played some nice shots but lost around 500. Ricky struggled to get to grips with his home table even though he got the break back three times, but did enough to get the point.
Dave 1570, Malcolm 1370 A repeat of last weeks game, this one a lot closer. Both players had plenty of visits to the table and both struggled. Could've gone either way but Dave managed to get his team the point.
John 1130 Trevor 1170 The controversial game of the evening. John was unlucky to lose an 1800 break. Trevor kept his nose in the game, final ball left on the table both players went for the 100 and missed. Then Colin very kindly informed Trevor that he needed 200 to win, which both luckily and skilfully he potted to get us the point. Remember to check your score Trev.
Barney 2330 Gary 1420 I left both balls short on the third break. Barney made a handy 700 break just playing on the 50's. After that neither of us could get the balls back and Barney played a lot better than me up the top of the table.
Colin 1980 Bill 990 Like all of us Bill liked the break it was just getting it back that was the hard bit. Colin made some handy breaks whilst Bill found the top of the table a struggle.
Table played very slow, but was the same for both teams and probably worked to our advantage more than the Hart lads, we just couldn't take our chances.
Thank you to the White Hart for another really great night of barbilliards. Lovely food at the end as well.
