Windmill GG 2, Dun Horse A 3. A happy return for our opponents (four having used the Windmill previously as a home base). I must apologise for having underestimated the effect the ironing would have tonight as the extra pace made the table very difficult to control. Bravo must have lost around 6k in three separate breaks ! Added to which the break got more difficult as the evening went on, when it was Tony's turn he settled for just potting one ball off it! All in all though our opponents were able to adjust to the table better than we did and I for one was lucky that Ian did not have quite enough time at the end to catch me.

Roffey H showed their bouncebackability to recover from last week’s 4-1 derby defeat by Roffey Y to beat Plough T/B 5-0. We took our chances when they came along and was another solid team performance, considering at Christmas our goal was to avoid the wooden spoon after all our problems at the start of the season we have certainly kicked on in the past couple of months. Highlights were a good late break from Muzza to beat Alan (despite almost giving a few of his team mates heart attacks when playing a shot that missed the left hand white peg by a millimetre with the bar gone), Iain recording a new record score when just falling short of 5k….. and oh yeah I got by first 10k score :)
Stu 10640 – Des 1330 Muzza 2350 – Alan 1650 Sam 5400 – Steve 4020 Iain 4960 – Chris 1240 Hoppo 6560 – Darrell 2390
A good evening and a nice selection of food to finish.

Well done to Iain and Stu on your new personal bests.
[edit 27/2/14: The H's great win shoots them to the top, replacing Plough T/B..........meanwhile long-time leaders Windmill B have dropped to fourth - although they have two games in hand.]
