Hi Everybody At the last AGM, it was requested that an updated set of rules needed to be produced, please note that this year’s AGM will be held on Wednesday 30th July at the Railway The secretary could not find the old set of rules, and so with the help of the committee a new set of rules have been created. As a pro forma the HBBL rules were copied and then adjusted, updated to reflect any differences between the two leagues Please find an attached set of these draft rules, so that they will be in force next season, the intension is to pass these rules “En Bloc” at the next AGM. All comments will be greatly appreciated, and any suggested amendments need to be notified to the secretary by Wednesday July 16th, so that they can be discussed at Committee before the AGM BHBBL LEAGUE RULES.docx (25.04 KB) The Committee would like players’ opinions on the following rules Rule 36 Deciding Cup Game BreakIf the player taking the first break has used up more than half the time allotted in his opening break, his opponent can insert another coin in an attempt to reach the target, but how much time should he have? . The same as the first player, or the complete game time? Rule 37 Highest Break & Score AwardsHBBL Tables are now classified as being “Home” tops, and will be excluded from winning these awards. For example, Ricky Dewdney would not have won the awards like he did last season, because it was played on the Stout House table which is his Home Table in the HBBL. Best Wishes JT

Best Wishes JT I like this concept and would also like to see Horsham adopt the equivalent of BBBL Tables being classified as Home tops for Horsham League - although this is too late to consider for our AGM this coming Tuesday ! I would take it a stage further and apply it to Cup Competitions, ie. a 'Neutral' venue should be that in every sense of the word, i.e. one that a player does not use as his/her home base in either of our two Leagues. Great recovery job on the Rules, by the way.
