gutted! i mean that by the fact i only met these 3 once last term, what a bloody nice bunch, anyway,1st game was tony against paul, tony tried but to no avail, losing both legs, 1460 and 1110 against pauls 1950 and 1430, next up, mick and graham, mick struggled to find anything in first game, including the table i think, but drew back brilliantly in 2nd leg! mick scoring just 870 and 1890 against a very in form grahams 1550 and 1720, i had mixed bag against ian, finding some fortunate 200's and leaving a few for ian (sportmanship)! 2nd game played like a novice! drawing 1-1, me,3460 and 930 against ians 1340 and 1810, even tho we lost 4-2,we had a very nice evening with them, looking forward to next game with them.

A good match, with a slightly flattering scoreline, as the first game went a few minutes short. Games 2 and 6 were won on the last ball, one to either side. The fourth game was epic, Mr Mike kept chasing the Pup but the pup kept getting away again: good score from both players. A selection of spectators again, two lads down from London whose local the Kings Head (Clapham) has a table. One guy who remembered playing in the League back in the 1950s (even I was in my pram then) at the Bridge House in Horsham (by the Iron Bridge - not there now, pulled down donkey's years ago); Gibbsey, Junkie and Mindyer just curious and having a look (for next year ???); and three gents to whom Mr Mike was obliged to explain the whole rules of the game from start to finish ! Lots of oohs and aahs – especially when Sammy was playing ! Great company, nice food, and nice barmaid.
