League formation for 2014/15

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM ROY:

Good afternoon

There is just one week left to submit team entry forms for the 2014-15 season. They must be with me on or before next Friday the 1st. August. I shall be formulating the league fixtures over the weekend of 2/3 August so please make sure your forms are in on time.

The response to date has been extremely poor and if it doesn't improve dramatically in the next 7 days, there will be no league next season so it's all down to you

yes come on people you all wished me to leave the league and now your all to lazy to put in your registration forms for the new league this is disappointing

The Laughing Fish have resigned from the League, and I will put this nice message from Henry up on the website shortly:

Hi Roy and All,
I have even holding off to reply in order to get the whole team together to make a decision.
I regret to say that we will not be entering again next year - this is not due to any dissatisfaction with the Mid Sussex league or any malicious reasons. Ironically it is for the same reason that we joined the league in the first place, and that is the availability of players.
We have decided to return to playing on Monday evenings for those reasons and also that it is a more local league to us.
From me personally, may I wish everybody in the Mid Sussex league the very best, and thank you for accommodating us for the last 6 years.
I hope that this decision will not affect the existence of the league and that you continue to prosper for many years to come!

Sorry to see the Fish and, maybe, the Hurst will not be taking part in the Mid Sussex League in the coming season and, like H, I hope this will not affect it adversely. I know it is early days Roy but could you give us an idea of how many teams have entered?

Roy doesn't use the Forum except to look in as a guest from time to time.

But I am pretty sure that Roy will have kept to this:

.....so we may presume that publication of fixtures is imminent.

My educated guess is that there will be no Hurst (or Fish of course) but I heard on the grapevine that Ted Stringer is entering a new team from Clayton & Keymer RBL, which would leave 13 teams(6 in the Premier and 7 in the First Division).

Tommo is correct hurst and fish out there is a meeting tonight at hassocks hotel to discuss things so I'm sure more news will be available soon

I however wish everyone the best and also look forward to playing against mid sussex for inter league matches as the new Brighton c captain

Roy has now published the Fixtures and emailed them to the captains. Also now available to be seen on the website:

One change should be pointed out: St Francis, who finished 3rd last season, have been promoted to the Premier, so the Bye is now in the lower division.

......oh, and at the Watermill, Adie White's Phoenix have been replaced with Nigel Bransby's Millers.
