Albion 4-2 Brewbells
*Michelle 5650 - 4170 Derek - Chelle took a very nice lead but Derek fought back strongly to get just in front before missing, Mrs Baden then got the balls back to secure the win
Kev 1650 - 1210 Ros* - Yes you read it right.....a win for Captain Kev!! Ros was the 'victim' of some unfair barracking from 'Silent' but we were pleased to see that her sat-nav got her to the Albion
*Jack 900 - b/p Tony - Jack made sure he spent the night in great company by chartering his private jet to make sure he was back from Jersey in time. It was nearly a disaster (and would have left 'Silent' 'sulking' even more as he was dropped!!) as it was nip and tuck on the table with a late black peg preventing a very close finish and making sure the smile was back on Jack's face
Brian 210 - 4030 Neil* - excellent early break from Neil, Brian tried in vain to chase. Visitors on the scoreboard
*Michelle and Jack 850 - 2480 Ros & Neil - the home team's partnership from heaven missed early and the visitors built a lead, Chelle got the break back and was going really well but missed the ball which cost victory 3-2
Kev and Silent 3610 - 880 Derek and Trevor* - the home team's partnership from hell, what a din......it was Derek who missed early and we built a lead. There was a chance to get the break back but the ball ended up on the awkward side and Derek couldn't get it, I managed to get the break back and get enough to win us the leg and the match
The noise and banter stepped up a level in the 'friendly' games afterwards with Tony showing his disgust at being left out of the doubles and playing and missing some quite extraordinary shots Very enjoyable evening with plenty of laughs
Thanks Henry for organising everything and for two of the best nights in a long time
The Albion enjoyed the Summer season immensely, it was a great laugh and I think we played some great bar billiards..........err on second thoughts......thanks to Captain Kev for steering the ship......off course, and to Chelle, Brian, Jack (oh and Lana) for steering it back , it's been a blast
