Expecting tonight's Finals to be corkers, going by this...... The Dun Horse table played excellently, a lot truer and faster than when we played it last: thank you to Sparky for preparing it so well. .......and the fact that the Stout House table has been re-clothed recently. Good choice of venues.

I would just like to thank the Billingshurst League for inviting us back this year, it must get very frustrating seeing teams from outside the area reaching the final, 3 years in a row now for us. We might be slight underdogs going into tonight's match though, up against a very strong Laughing Fish side. We have played a couple of different venues this time, the Springbok club being one of them, great night out and a lovely setting and we've been looked after very well also with food at every match. Thanks again and we'll look forward to next year whatever the outcome later

The Dun Horse table played excellently, a lot truer and faster than when we played it last: thank you to Sparky for preparing it so well. I certainly agree with the comment above, the table at the Dun Horse was superb tonight in a high quality game. Laughing Fish 3 White Hart Littlehampton 1 Henry Brooks 5,100* - 11,160 Kevin Tunstall Henry off at just under 5k, KT made sure first visit with a superb break of 11,160. Ian Lelliott 10,430 - 2,390* Stuart Mepham Stuart had the white ball come out on his first split and was unlucky not to get anything down at the back, Ian made sure with a steady 8,700 break on his first visit. Dave Ingram 15,440* - 500 Martin Cole I rode my luck a couple of times but stayed on and touched on 9.5k to give Martin no time to catch me, he missed his first split and I finished off. Henry & Ian 9,890 - 2,330* Martin & Gareth Cornford Martin and Henry both came off at just over 1k, Ian first to get the balls back and touched on just under 8k to seal the win. Dave & Bill Kerr v KT and Stuart The last game was not played. Many thanks to the Dun Horse for hosting the final and providing a nice selection of pizzas. We look forward to playing against next year in this very enjoyable competition, it is really nice to visit new venues and meet new players so a big thank you to the Billingshurst League for organising and running the competition, especially John Tidy who kindly presented the trophies to both teams on the night.
