Must admit I didn't see that one (or have a chance to assess it) as it was erroneously listed under "Snooker and Pool"... Will have a look now.

Ok, had a look. Sorry to say, you have bought a pup. 1. Table is a SAMS, yes, but a narrow one (34" instead of the traditional 36"). These were manufactured with 4-Pin in mind. You can tell this by the exact diamond formation of the 200-50-100-50 as opposed to the "squashed diamond" portrayed in the top right hand picture on this page. Another clue is the channel markings. 4-Pin go 10-20-30-20-10 at the back, traditional 3-pin goes 30-20-10-20-30.
2. I can't see a handle at the front but I can see a coin slot. Does this mean that an electronic timer has been fitted to replace the clockwork mechanism? More to the point, has the bar-drop mechanism been removed from the inside or is it still there? Your landlord won't want it to be on perpetual free-play.
3. No balls or pegs: that's gonna set you back a further £70.
We can advise you on a reliable source to buy spares, but I'd advise you to pull out of this deal if it's not too late to do so.
regards tommo
