The Mill continue to grind out the results..... Limeburners 2, The Mill 3 Brian 2920, Johnny 2140 Dick 3560, Vicky 1380 Bill 2360, Barry 3160 Ken 1960, Clive 3190 Chippy 2720, Alan 5830 First appearance for a 'Rookie player' tonight with Mr Mike not making it back from Stoke-on-Trent in time. Vicky's turn to captain the side, and she managed to rally the troops well after the early setbacks. Many thanks to Mr Chips for the excellent fresh sarnies and chunky chips to complement Billy's pickled onions (my tongue was on fire despite these not being his strongest batch).

Railway 4 Southwater SC 1 Mick C 2,630 Tony F 2,220 Scrappy game I had to get rid of the red to make sure at the end
Iain 1,240 Timeless Tony Temple 2,630 Tony played better than the score suggests, Iain finding all those lovely roll offs
Mark 2,600 Ray BP Another struggle, Ray tried three times for the 200 hole off the back cushion, BP'd with last ball.
Stuart C 1,710 Mel 1,360 Yep, another battle.
Skippy 3,370 Keith BP Adam in control most of the game.
One of those nights, table did not play well. It was good to see Ray back playing following his surgery.
Super food from Stella.

Springbok SC 4 Three Compasses 1
T Goacher 1080 Jacob Ereira 1910 Young Jacob deserved this win, I simply did not get to grips with the game, whilst he kept putting together modest breaks. (5 for BFZ for me so far)
B Hicks Lewis Tudor A close game for the most of it, with Bill losing decent scores along the way. Lewis was nudging ahead, when a late break saved gave the point to Bill
G Marshall 3670 Jason Duncton 1780 Well Jason at least won the bet that he would draw Gary again!! Jay struggled with split and let in Gary to put a decent score on the board. Jay then found the split to apply some pressure, but did not have the legs to regain the ground he had lost early on.
R Burgess 2870 Carl Tudor 1170 A closer game than the result shows with both players have some trouble with the table. Robin eventually took hold of the game, but Carl was unlucky along the way.
K Nixon 1560 Andy Scotcher 1110 This was a close game throughout and Ken playing his first game for a year was playing shots of a seasoned pro. Andy's recent form seemed to be abandoning him, but he too showed glimmers of why he has had a great start to the season. At then end the bar beat Andy and gave a 100% win rate for the Crooner from Widnes.
This result could have so easily been reversed, the home team had a bit more good luck than our friends from down the road.

Yep, the word on the street is right, we scraped a 3-2 but could and probably should've gone the other way.
But hey, a win is a win.

Postponed game played on 3rd November.
Stout House A 2 Dun Horse 3
Pete Trigwell 1870 Colin Bolton 1860 Sam Short 2550 Scott Hope 3910 John Tidy 1580 Dave Simmons 5000 Pete Hartley 2760 Grant Hope 2250 Tony Clasby 2140 Stuart Hope 3120
Game 1: Scrappy nail-biter of a game. Pete potted the last two balls to win by 10. Game 2: Scott opened out an early lead, Sam came back well but ran out of time. Game 3: Slow start from both,Dave managed to string some shots together but JT not having much luck. Game 4: Close most of the way, a late break from Pete sufficient to take the game. Game 5: Pops led from the off, Tony battled away but couldn't catch.
An amusing evening on a rare Monday out. Thanks to Barry for some tasty sandwiches.
