Blue Ship 3 Dun Horse 2
Ding Johnson 890 Scott Hope 5150 Mick Johnson 860 Colin Bolton 4530 * Played last, Mick Johnson playing under 4-player rule. * Mick Johnson 3500 Stuart Hope 3390 James Childs 5450 Grant Hope 1720 Steve Holden 1790 Dave Simmons 1310
Game 1: Scott led from the start, Ding having no luck whatsoever. Game 3: Pops opened out a 3k lead. Mick clawed his way back. Decided on the last ball. Game 4: Grant opened out a 1k lead before Porgy turned it around. Game 5: Dave and Steve played like a couple of numpties.
Game 2: Midway through the evening the Blue Ship team remembered that Simon was on holiday so utilising the 4-player rule, Mick stepped up to play Colin. Colin led from the start, leaving Mick with the dubious accolade of lowest score of the night even including 200 from the last ball!
Thoroughly enjoyable evening at the Blue Ship rounded off with tasty sandwiches.

Three Bees 2, Stout House A 3
Mike 200, Pete H 1550 John 1870, Sam 1570 Lin 870, John 1960 Steve 6810, Pete T 770 Barry 320, Tony 1720
Another good evening of nip'n'tuck, with Steve as ever showing how it should be done. Mike needed to 200 to win but sadly BPd, John/Sam went down to the last ball, Sam needing 200 to tie and John getting the 100, Lin had no luck at all, and Barry BPd towards the end when he was 400 in front after a nasty whip round the 50. So we were lucky to get the win, it could so easily have gone the other way.
Exquisite sandwiches to finish, thank you!
Pete

Springbok Club 5 Alfold SC 0
T. Goacher 3350 M. Greening 1670 The Major found the break, but then left balls short to let me in. I got a modest break and that was pretty much the pattern for the game with the Major getting no luck at all.
B. Hicks 3160 K. Slater 800 Kelly let Bill in early on and he hit a decent break, only for the scorer to fail to record it on the board!! This did not deter Bill from his mission and he put together a couple of high breaks to secure the win.
M. Edwards 2090 G. Fishburn 1870 (Played 4th) This was a very close game throughout with the lead going from one to the other. Garry, really could not get his usual smooth game together and Mike took advantage, doing just enough to ensure the points were in the bag as the bar dropped.
R. Burgess 6860 D. Slater 730 Robin was in top form, Dave left the break short and Robin put over 1K on the board, quickly followed by 3.9K. Dave struggled to get the balls back as was unable to get in any rhythm make a mark.
G. Marshall 2960 C. Greening 2140 Another very close game. The Minor got to grips with the table early on having no trouble with the split. Gaz came back at him as you would expect. With only a few minutes to go Minor was at the table with his tail up and looked to have secured the win, but disaster struck as the ball found Peggy, letting Gaz in to clear the table and win a very close contest.
The score line does not reflect all of the games and our friends from down the road were fairly unlucky. Great banter as you could imagine, followed with some decent grub.

White Hart 4 Railway 1 Barney has the scores and I'm sure he will post them shortly. Absolutely no problem with the result, we were outplayed in the first 4 games.
Best curry I've had in a while to round off.
Mick
