Southwater SC 2 Railway 3 Ray 2,690 Boggy 1,840 Boggy not getting the table time as Ray showed great patience in building breaks at the top of the table.
M Blake 2,350 Skippy 2,010 Mel getting the break back with a couple of minutes to go and seeing it out for the win.
Keith 400 Sniffer 2,040 Sniffer playing far better than his score suggests, nothing really happening for Keith appart for his first go at the 200 where he BP'd Then he played the red planet into the black hole.
Tony F 3,250 Clacky 3,440 I came off early, not for the first time in my life, Tony storming into a 2K lead. I caught him up but he then went anther 1K in front I got the balls back at the death to nick it.
Tony T 1,280 Stu 5,640 Nothing going for Tony apart from 4 pegs in a row, Stu found the break and made him pay with 3k opener, could have been a lot more.
Tony T managed to get the names mixed up on the score card, they were all there but not necessarily in the right order. Would have bee more interesting if he'd got Boggy and Ray mixed up....Mark Manser V Ray Davies. There was a young lady in the club, I asked here name and in a dark brown voice she said Lola L O La Lola...
Good come back from 2-0 down by the Railway.
Thanks to the club for the nice chicken tikka sarnies...yum yum

The Mill 4, Limeburners 1 Barry Timson | 5260 | Bill Hammond | 2380 | Johnny Haigh | 1790 | Rik Dewdney | 7960 | Mick Holmwood | 5830 | Brian Goodchild | 3590 | Alan Downs | 6260 | Chippy Sawyer | BP | Margo Thompson | 3420 | Max Davies | 2320 |
Slightly flattering result for the Mill with the home team making the most of their chances. Chippy didn't look settled and eventually BP'd. Rik lost a break of a couple of k on top of what he kept. Tommo very pleased with the gift sent home by Billy, enhanced his late night snack !

Three Compasses 1 Springbok SC 4 Chubb 1100 M. Edwards 1570 Mike was always in control of this game, with Chubb finding it a little hard to get the break back. A Scotcher 840 B Hicks 1230 Result could have been so much different, had Andy not been so determined to take a peg out on each visit. Bill stuck to the task and though not his brightest game did enough on the night. C Tudur 1580 G Marshall 3500 Good game this with both Carl & Gary starting well. Carl was unfortunate not to get more from the game, while Gaz earned his points well to take the frame. L Tudor 1980 R Burgess 2450 Another good game with both players making an early mark. As the game went on Lewis was unlucky not to get more from it, and Rob needed all his experience to manage the table. J Duncton 3000 T Goacher 2100 Not a bad game, just silly errors from me. Jay was in decent form, played some lovely up and down the table shots to sink into the 200, had I had a towel I would have thrown it in at that point. A cracking night with loads of laughs, made very welcome and topped off with a very nice chicken curry, fluffy rice and chips

Dun Horse 2 Stout House A 3 Grant Hope 970 Pete Trigwell 3030 Stuart Hope 3520 Sam Short 2630 Colin Bolton 1850 John Tidy 2540 'Kermit the Frog' Simmons 1960 'Fozzie Bear' Hartley BP Keith Etheridge 1550 Tony Clasby 2800 Game 1: Didn't see this one but by all accounts, Pete had a good game. Game 2: Close most of the way, Pops edged ahead towards the end, Sam ran out of time. Game 3: Quick 1k each to start then scrappy. JT accumulated late on, Colin ran out of balls. Game 4: Pete and Dave played like a couple of Muppets! Game 5: Keith in front early on. 1K midway from Tony took the game. The billiards played tonight was surprisingly unspectacular. Fair to say that those who won were relieved and those who lost were kicking themselves. Some good chat and sarnies to finish.
